Thanks for the cocktease translations, Molotov.
Although, why do three of those character specific items (Magic Shield, Extra Bullet and Dragon Figurine) seem to not give any additional bonuses?

Troll gets a 20% Magic Attack boost? TOTALLY BROKEN!
Those are some beefy bonuses though. Definitely a lot of strategy for selecting items, though. You want to beef up your anchor, or get something that helps everyone? Though Iād say if youāre running Curse Head, the Earth Hammer is a no-brainer.
Iād assume these give other bonuses. The shield likely gives extra defense, the others, I have no ideaā¦
A lot of the equipment itemsā passive effects do more then just give stat increases. Not to mention the stock actions and item bursts.
When the hell is this ish coming out?! Iām too hyped!
Really like what??
I am so eager to know what is up with all the items!! I do not know but right now a 2 player 2 item team seems like a good idea to me right now, the more I find out about items the better they will look I assume also. I am comming up with all kinds of 2 player teams right now without even knowing passive effects.
I am loving this slow info leak for some reason.
Man Iām loving this game from the videos that have been posted online. Iām a bit torn on who I want to play since it seems thereās so many fun characters.
Is Nagar top tier or something though? I see her on likeā¦ every team.
Also the horse loop is too strong.
You would be right.
I am still hunting on the wiki to figure out the exact numbers for Magic Shieldās defensive boosts, but yeah itās PE is to increase defense. As for Extra Bullet and Dragonic Figurine, the former gives Vargan 10 extra total bullets (which is actually pretty great), and the latter increases Gerhassenās Block rate. I have no idea of the percentage of that either, but that isā¦ridiculous. For those of you who havenāt checked out the english wiki yet, Block in this game is a random mechanic like clashing and criticals that allows you to take no damage from an attack. I donāt remember if it has no be a non-comboed attack like with criticals.
EDIT: Oh and Dragonic Figurine also gives a very small Magic Defense boost, and is one of 4 of the character weapons that produces āGuard Denialā, which basically turns you into post-knife Cody; chip damage on normal moves galore.
Iām translating the rest of the items so I can post up their PE boosts as well, along with the 3 aforementioned items and their alternative boosts.
EDIT EDIT: SHIT JUST GOT REAL. Niggas in the club doin Aegis Reflector.
btw guys, take what iāve got on srkās wiki with a grain of salt
fucked up, delete this.
Sandra seems to do a shitload of damage in the corner. Zon/Dzong assist just seems to make her borderline retarded, but Iām sure thereās more broken shit in the game.
With that obvious observation, I shall continue to play Devilās Advocate/not get my hopes up.
She seems pretty damn strong. Solid attacks/pokes, great mobility, the ability punish you from across the screen almost instantly if she has meter, at least two āget the fuck off meā moves and what looks like a highly maneuverable wall jump with the option to potentially do what looks like an unblockable air-to-ground throw.
Get less hype.
Thanks for this.
Fixed (because I am a child).
Get less hype.
LOL.
I think this game has no damage scaling. Everyone does damage. You definitely donāt want to get caught with your pants down in this game.
Iām not sure if I got the block mechanic right, Iāll run it by my friend to make sure. But I am fairly certain that clashing is not random.
And I canāt read the description in that youtube video. Is it just a mixup, or is it a nigh-unblockable like Urien?
Looks like itās just a mix-up, though the jumping attacks look like they act like instant overheads even if arenāt stuck in a crouching position, soā¦
True. I think it just bothers me since the juggles seem so liberal and liberal juggles make fucking up a game rather easy.
Itās actually much better than a 50/50.
Basically what happens, based on the description given on the wiki and the video, is that you are locked into whichever guard you used to defend against the previous attack. So in the video, it shows how they did stuff like 2B -> Talisman IB, so if the opponent blocks low, they are susceptible to a jump-in combo as they must continually block low until the shield disappears, and if they get hit, they just get hit with the IB, which does shit damage but lets you get a free combo. Which is why they showed such slow āinstant overheadsā to break guard, when anyone with working eyeballs would be able to see all of those jumps except maybe Maraās. Itās pretty nasty, but it only works directly in the corner so itās not exactly game-breaking. But it can definitely turn games around I think. I was thinking last night, Vritra/Nsidor+Talisman/Mana Potion is a NASTY team. Boost up your meter, pressure them to the corner, Talisman IB to infinite. NAAAASTYYYY.
Oh and the reason Nagar (hehe) is so good, aside from the reasons already listed, is because her extremely solid damage and great juggle combos are complimented perfectly by her amazing mixup game. She has a good crossup, a command overhead and high priority lows, on the level of a shoto low forward, all of which can be comboed from. Another nuance in that mixup is that, at proper distances, she can do her fireball, dash up, then 50/50 you with low or command overhead while you are in block stun. In the corner that makes for some scary pressure, especially considering her AA game is fairly solid as well. Sheās just a great character all around. I think she is top 3 with Nsidor and Vritra.
Is the video describing an unblockable or a fuzzy-guard? Cause if itās unblockable, I would imagine alot of players would be running this.
It says you are unable to shift whatever guard you are in while you block it, so itās unblockable. Some big reasons people donāt run it more often is likely because you have to be in the corner to use it, and it really only strongly benefits about 3-4 characters (Nsidor, Vritra, Bernhard, and Mara to an extent) because everyone else needs a stockpile of meter to do anything worthwhile in the corner (under the assumption your only item is Talisman), and Talismanās SA is really mediocre since you can just clash it until itās gone, amongst other things. So instead of being able to get a guaranteed damage boost/free health or meter boost/useful SA+IB, you are stuck with a very circumstantial IB and nothing else. It is still fairly popular amongst some of the top players, like 50 and tack, but itās not an end-all-be-all item by any means.
Here is an example of 50 using it, as you can see there is no fuzzy guard/instant overhead/mixup of any sort. Itās just impossible to block.
Tohchika is forced to block low for the entire duration, allowing 50 to get at least a little bit of damage without meter:

My friend says that it also says the bug prevents you from using an alpha-counter as well. For all the BS in this game, it seems to handle it well. I like that.
Yeah youāre just locked in place, canāt Mana Counter out of it or anything. Canāt do shit. I like this item.
I was watching more videos and it has practical midscreen setups too, though with those it looks like you actually have to combo into the IB and then you can walk back and do a jump-in followup. Unless youāre one of the Big 2, that seems to matter even less though, since nobody really has insane midscreen combos without a couple bars. And even if you are Vritra, you need to be about 1/3rd screen away from the corner if you want to get real damage off of it, since I have yet to see his infinites work purely midscreen. There were times they were midscreen and went for it on block but the opponent got pushed out of it before they could follow up, so who knows.
And yes, even despite the infinites and unblockable IB setups and a myriad of other things that seem completely BS, nothing ends up looking exceptionally broken.
(Controlled) Chaos Breaker, get hype.
EDIT: Hereās the rest of the Item Possession Effect boosts, first set is attack boosts and second set is defense boosts. As always, left percentage is physical, right percentage is magic.

EDIT2: 4r5, not sure if you are just using the CB Wiki to gather info on character movesets and all that, but as far as rudimentary info like movesets and basic system mechanics go, here is a better site.
Cleaner layout and if you are using Google Chrome, you can go ahead and just translate the page and itāll give you proper english names for moves (for the most part). Just PM me if you want me to just go ahead and translate the moves, if you deem it necessary. Iāll have all the items translated (and the earlier translations cleaned up) soon so I can post those up.
I canāt keep up with TRF. They host a tournament twice a week every week.
I didnāt even get to watch most of the stuff I uploaded yet.
Anyways the 6?15? run is on my YT channel. Iāll put it on SRK tomorrow.
AND SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE CAN I BUY JPN PSN CARDS :X
I think I might quit all games for this
Yeah I just watch on Nicovideo now, I can barely keep up with them even just watching. Thatās great though, I remember looping the same videos from sasakivritra and soh85 on youtube for like, a full year back in '07-'08 and being so depressed that there was literally no way for me to play it. Look on typical import sites for the cards; your best bet is Play-Asia honestly. Cheaper than anywhere I have seen(for once), you can get 2000 yenās worth of cards for around $38 shipped, which is a lot better than ebay or gateway to japan which will run you around $40+ for 2000 yenās worth.
Youāre a smart man
