In the end, it doesn’t matter to me, and I would consider graphics and bg’s to have zero value in an argument. Sorry. But of course I wouldn’t mind better sprites and non-other-game background art.
I, too, also like the music in the game. I kinda find it funny and sad that my fav is not really in the arcade (training mode).

Basically since there is no Buktooth or someone else giving awesome elite Japanese strategies with anyone. Since there is no one spoonfeeding you guys how to play the game with top tiers or fight top tiers, people are whining and crying.
I don’t know if the game sucks or whether it doesn’t, but its something new and something to explore and mess with. It may turn out to be shitty, it maybe a really good game, but I’ll at least put the effort to try stuff out on my own and play some people before condemning the game.
I mean CvS2 was condemned to be the shittiest game ever etc etc, then low and behold Buktooth taught rest of the country that there was more to the game than just hold d/b and mash FP or roll, Super. And now there are alot of people who play it. Hell it got 300 man turnout at Evo. Second most of all fighting games there.
Maybe instead of waiting for Buktooth or someone else to baby you guys and spoonfeed you how to play the game, you could, gasp try to learn yourself??? Maybe you can actually try to find out another char who is crazy good that other people don’t know about. Maybe you could try to experiment, be innovative.
Or you guys can just wait till Buktooth or Viscant or Kugler or someone else post their strats, and jock them. My guess is, most of you will do this.

Didn’t care much for the graphics from the start but I was really disappointed that some of my favorite Guy combos didn’t make it over. 
Do you know how long it takes a 3s character to build that much meter? Also you could just not get hit by chop, Alex had some crazy damage with stungun in 3s too, but no one ever gets hit by it.
All I have to say is that after fooling around with the game today, people need to butch it up and learn how to actually play games on their own. There is nothing at this point that shows the game is bad. Is it trendy to be a jaded asshole and not give anything a chance? Go ahead and do that then, I’m happier learning new shit.
BTW, Kenji looks like he’s the damn cheapest. Please don’t block the slow dagger ever, and please don’t get knocked down. He does light damage for a reason. Oh, how about being able to knock somone down and then power up a level before they get up (like 3s taunting for the bonus), then apply the guessing game? I won’t tell you what the guessing game is either, it should be in plain sight. Think Samurai Showdown and you might understand.
AKA (and others) you talk as if only random scrubs are saying the game sucks, and that noone knows how to play the game. A lot of people are saying it sucks, remember the game has been out for about 2 months almost now and NYC/CA have had it in their arcades for about a month.
The game isn’t good, but I’ll still play it. That’s my take on it. Just take it for what it is, don’t go expecting too much, and then the game becomes a bit more tolerable. But then again I like shitty games, (CvS1, SvC, MVC1) so that’s just me

Also, if anything, this game is bleh at best for the sole reason that it doesn’t do anything to bring in any new players. Doesn’t do anything to further the scene any. At least other companies like Namco/Sega make some effort into getting new players intrested, with their upgrades to the home console and their communities (isn’t soulcalibur.com run by jason arney from namco? not sure) and their elaborate training modes. Capcom hasn’t given a shit for a while now. Get over it.
Even if the game is halfway decent…it doesn’t bring anything new to the table at all, it caters to people like us who are already familar with aforementioned gameplay systems that are in CFJ. You suck Capcom.
But yeah, all the fanboys are really annoying, it’s okay to hate the game but Time_Stop is really a obvious SNK fanboy, dunno why he posts here if he just shits on Capcom games all the time.
EDIT: I take that back, Time_Stop actually posts useful info here on SNK games from time to time, so it’s not so bad…but the random hate is annoying, yah.
Sorry Arturo, I came off a little strong in my last post. I’m not saying only scrubs are saying these things, but I was basically addressing those people who were doing nothing but hating on the game, as opposed to actually trying it. I’m playing it because it’s something different, and I’m sure my opinion of the game will change in all due time, but for now, it does no good to bitch and complain about it - the good players who say the game sucks aren’t the same people who do nothing but complain about it. Personally I think it’s better than nothing.
The game I’m actually looking forward to more than anything else is Tekken 5, as that game will be good. It also helps that I have some of the best comp in the country here in STL to play with, but that’s a story for a different day.
Also, CFJ doesn’t have a command list in their training menu. Big fucking boo!

Amazing. Hell, I respect you, but now you’re just going a wee bit overboard guy.
Save for the Warazard characters and Ingrid, this game just really doesn’t offer me anything new. I’ve been playing it for a few weeks now (for some reason) fucking with Felicia and a random second character and it still hasn’t shaken the feeling of being sloppy. And I mean messy in all aspects of the game, which of course encompasses the graphics bandwagon.
I won’t lie and say that I’m not having any fun at all, but honestly the game just doesn’t ‘click’. I don’t know what you would want to call it. I don’t exactly see it lasting long either, which is a huge part of why I’m not all that up for enjoying it. I’m giving it half of a chance (as I’ve already begun playing the game, and thus negated the other half a chance so to speak) but if it ends up being widely accepted later down the road, I’ll suck it up and go at it.
For now though, my point stands, along with my dislike of the game.
