Yeah, the lock n load into 360 makes the 360 slide up to them even when you cancel it. The amount that people jump in this game though i dont really use it.
I recorded like 2 hours of fights with Dime x’s painwheel today. Should I upload everything in big chunks or sort it for useful information matchup wise?
also, my painwheel is ass. pls dont troll the shit out of me for my incredibly horrid play half in lag the other half, er not so bad. also AOF make sure you put up all my wins… i need that. in case anyone is wondering i think he ended up beating me by about a ratio of 30 games to 2… no lie. i feel bad. like i need to stick my head in the sand in shame bad
Well, long as you keep learning things from them, that many loses in one sitting are nothing to be ashamed of. It simply means that you learned 30 times what not to do.

i think you’ve got me confused with someone else, i dont ever use filia (first time was yesterday against AOF) and the only game that ive played against other people online was mvc3 and sfxt… i didnt play either passed ike a week though.
if there is some imposter running my name, go ahead and call hm a scrub for me… i wasnt able to get my actual Dime_x GT from the states. which was xx dime x xx (with capitalizations) now i run DIMEnsion eXit as my GT and thats the name that dime_x has always stood for. if its any other GT it isnt me.
All of it’s posted in the video thread now. From playing and rewatching those games, there’s a couple of things I think I’ve concluded about the Painwheel matchup.
While Painwheel is in the air at a distance, there’s a danger that she’ll either call an assist and approach overhead, or will come down diagonally suddenly (usually with j.MP). There’s a range where her j.MP will come out before anything you do to chase her down comes out, further than that is neutral, and just inside that range is the range where a dash jump j.MP can stuff an attack/swat her down from flying. That range is in Cerebella’s favour unless painwheel’s assist dominates the ground, since if you get locked down or hit in that range, she can come down for a mixup/combo pretty easily. Dime and I were discussing whether hatred guard could be used to deal with j.MP but until I see it I think this is pretty viable.
The other thing was when Painwheel was cornered, lockdown with Hornet bomber + j.MP at almost max merry-go-rilla range was pretty effective. I would watch out for stunt doubles though.
Excellabella as an assist while fighting Painwheel seems really good.
i agree with all of this. after rewatching some of the vids myself (and getting salty again in hindsight) i was appalled at my play, but i also saw how much double assist was really helping bella out. it wasnt only the assist, its taunt animation got in my way MANY times and actually got me killed… which is one reason why my strat of making your double assist wiff then call mine wasnt working… my assist would hit yours and all the lockdown time would get negated. also you empty jump with double assist ALOT and that pretty much puts up a wall that is near impossible for (my) painwheel to get around (without airthrowing) cause of ground invincibility plus your airblock eating up my jump attacks active frames making me get hit by the bomber. ALSO… LOL, just to let it be known here, im literally holding up almost everytime you do 3 string into command grab yet i still get ground thrown… its because of lag. basically if i jump as soon as the cr.HP is blocked the lag will prevent me from jumping out, SO, i have to input my jump basically just as your cr.mp is blocked… its really really annoying… but it is what it is… for whatever reason pushblock seems more effective late into the string than holding upback, also i try and flight cancel the anticipated command grab alot since PW’s flight is airborn on frame 1 and allows me an easy punish… but because of the lag… it just never comes out (which is funny cause hornet bomber and updo were coming out about 30% of the time) i was also missing simple jump back into flight… all those jump back lks and stuff that happen at neutral are me trying to get a flight out and it not coming out… i miss inputs all day online for some reason… i dont have that problem at all offline. i dont know what gives.
if you’d be willing can we get some bella/pain 1v1’s going next time we play? you can record those as well, i just want to see how much of the matchup problem is double assist and how much is just bella. i have a feeling that without double assist that the matchup will be alot less lopsided i basicaly think shes just a much better user of hornet bomber than PW cause she has that command run… though that is only a theory. if i am correct then all the bellas in this forum need to do is get off that solo tip and throw double in there games.
but yeah, would definitely like to do some 1v1 versus you as the lag in the 1v1’s seems to be less as well.
Double is just really bad for Painwheel, as an assist or even its 1v1. her j.HP is faster than Painwheel’s j.MP and has way more hitstun. and Horner bomber covers most of the screen so you cant really fly around much or do strings xx fly xx pressure/crossup/whatever.
Right now whenever i see double i drop painwheel from my team and just go with Bella/Soul
Living placement. I live in a suburb near Orlando, but I still miss out on A LOT of events in other places, especially California. Still haven’t been to an EVO or an E3 and I don’t know when I will.
You can do a few things, and there’s a few things you can’t do.
Do’s:
Pushblock. This will give you space for your other options. Do it on the last hit of the spinwheel (there are three hits).
Dynamo (qcf pp). If they are high enough when they start the move, there is nothing they can do (block, run, super) to get away. Free super+corner combo if you’re lucky.
Cerecopter. This can work if they are far enough away. Don’t do it up close.
j.mp. I haven’t used this against any Double’s doing that, they learn quick enough to stop against me from other stuff, but it should work; it beats nearly everything else.
Don’ts:
Command run of any kind. When you get better, you’ll probably be able to find the right times it can be BT’d, but for now you should stay away from it. Any other command run loses.

Who knows. If the scrub really wanted to know stuff about the game though, I’m sure he or she would have looked up all the moves and their names either before or alongside reading forum topics about the character.
And besides: people use the names of things as references/abbreviations. dp is not the term for the command, it’s f,d,d+f; dp means Dragon Punch, which is the same as saying Shoryuken. Do you ask why people use that instead of f,d,d+f? No, cause they use srk or dp. These moves aren’t known well enough for that yet, so we use full names. If I said DH to CC to DD, reset with DD into DD and finish with a BT, would you have understood?
