Cerberus: Unleash the hellhound in your arcade stick

LOL, analog button activated too. Well played sir.

Cuz Iā€™m a scrub pad hacker, Does this mean the Cerebus supports analog controls too? or is Gummo just being his Godlike self?

Actually analog button is home and the led is always lit up when plugged in.

Buttttt now im going to have to go back and make that button enable/disable analog sticks and have s+s=h.

Just finished my first install. Once I flip the 360 motherboard over and connect all the plugs the dual mod will appear invisible:

God DAMN thatā€™s pretty.

Damn son, that is uber clean. mi gusta.

welcome to my world

WOW! Iā€™ve been away from TechTalk for about a year and look at the sexiness Phreak has produced now! I was a big fan of the TEasy Strike (even used one in my custom stickless) and am very interested in upgrading to the Cerberus nowā€¦

Iā€™m curious, with the firmware have you coded consideration for HitBox style sticks?

One thing I really liked about the TEasy Strike is that I could modify the firmware myself armed only with the little knowledge I acquired in a semester of Embedded Systems during college (we programmed atmelā€™s mounted to roombas with sonar/grabbers/cameras attached etc). If Cerberus handles stickless more graciously out of the box I probably wouldnā€™t want to mess with it but itā€™s nice to have that option if needed ya know? I also took advantage of the features for fewer button layout like Start+R2 = L2 etc that were part of the DS but sound like theyā€™re not yet incorporated into Cerberus (correct me if Iā€™m wrong).

Great work on this and thanks in advance for your reply!

edit: as I look closely I think the TE pcb Iā€™m using isnā€™t the S oneā€¦ my top middle connector goes from left to right Back Start GND (it should say KGND right?). Hmm

Havenā€™t got to try it out on a PS3 yet. Curious, is this the button layout from 360 to PS3?

A = X
B = O
X = Square
Y = Triangle
LB = L1
RB = R1
LT = L2
RT= R2

Yes

Hi there,

Subtle problem (ā€˜non-problemā€™) with the board. It doesnā€™t automatically register as a ps3 controller if itā€™s plugged in before the system is turned on. I have to unplug/replug each time the system is turned off. Itā€™s so nitpicky but I figured it could be updated down the line since the TEasy Strike was capable of being detected while remaining plugged in. Cheers for the easiest dual mod ever!

Known issue, theres a firmware updating coming that fixes, I can confirm it works :slight_smile:

Yeah i have it fixed already, just trying to get some other stuff added before I release it.

Can I have sex with that wiring job? That is an insanely good one

Got my first hands-on with my stick on a PS3. Everything worked flawlessly. 10/10. Would purchase againā€¦if I had to dual-mod something.

Looks like my mlg controller crapped out on me (y axis on left analog registers down halfway). Technically on my roommates actually since i never really got to play with it. A real bummer because i was going to try and dual mod it now. So instead the sixaxis is up. So far so good on that front.

Wah? Wired tournament legal sixaxis? With both analog sticks working and r3/l3? Lets see if I can fit that qanba 360 pcb in there and get this thing fully dual modded.

This is probably a stupid question, but why are boards like the Cerberus able to be so small, yet thereā€™s no 360 counterpart?

This is the smallest 360 pcb Iā€™ve ever seen. I salvaged it off one of those ps3/360 in one pcb thats in one of the qanbas.

Can I buy one from you on thursday if youā€™re coming to GGA? And I forgot to let you know, I think you forgot a plastic tupperware container with fightpad shells and parts in it; I put them in back so they donā€™t get lost/taken, just ask me and Iā€™ll get them for you.
