Yes. I did posted saying that I am going. Some things couldn’t be helped as I had planned this months in advance, yet was not able to secure a venue or a date. No disrespect, you can ask anyone… everyone who knows me, from Triforce, SRK staff, top players, and on down. Also, about the date thing (it is tentative) When it was suggested for the 20th, I was like wait a minute… we’re all going to AUFO, then looked at the calendar with payday in mind. I’d prefer middle of the month myself, but for now we just put down the 6th to see where we were at. There will be no problems pushing it back a weekend. I noticed the date, but I’ve been at work and have just made that post before I left my house as saying… “Here is what we have so far”
As far as entries goes, I’m not forcing anyone to go to anything. You got to build hype for these events. Nothing is going to change that. I believe everyone are going to say something similar about their tournament. They want people to attend. Some times, there are going to be tournaments held on the same day and that cannot be helped, but we should all try to plan accordingly. Like I said… it was a tentative date thrown in because of the obvious conflict… Yes, this created another one, but it has only been one day! Give me time to further tweak things on my end, boss. <No disrespect, I call everyone boss.

Ray: Sorry I didn’t reply to your post, but felt this should be addressed directly. You want to become a ‘top player’. You can do it… and so can everyone here… if you/they really want it. Just because you don’t see me destroying everyone in SFIV, doesn’t mean I won’t get to that level in SFIV. The truth is… it is hard to get to the top with my life priorities, but I do what I can in m spare time to at least work on my game. Since SFIV came out, I’ve been working full time. I don’t get the luxury of time that you guys get, so take advantage of it. I’m no dead beat dad or husband and do not neglect my family -> my path will be harder than most, but I have it… a path.
Gavin and I knows what it takes. We’ve been there and its no cake walk. It’s playing 24/7. Eat, sleep, shit, Street Fighter or insert any other game here. Just like pro athletes, they train during off season. Are you willing to make those sacrifices? You can’t have your cake and eat it too and something will have to give. Not saying it can’t be done, just difficult. I have a lot of friends who are capable of doing the school and gaming thing… but their grades aren’t great. Mike Ross is a perfect example. Most top players end up dropping out of school. You have to decide what you want more.
With me… my grades suffered. There was even a time in the Marines, when I started competing that it affected my awareness at work and since the Marines was a priority (and I have put the Marines before my family at one point in my career) I stopped playing as much.
When you’re truly dedicated to something and put your heart into it, you’ll reap the benefits for your sacrifices. My career as a Marine is a perfect example, and I hate to bring it up all the time, but I think there are a few videos you should watch. If you have time… I have a video I think you may want to check out. I get off tomorrow around 5 and we can talk.
so its like 1:54am…and i am really hating SF right now…i hate the fact that i don’t feel any improvement…and for Gavin and Pat…i dont need the help. I’m just gonna be straight forward with this BS. I had a blast with Momo, Ian , Sean, Steve, my brother,Racheal and Jess, playing Rockband. taking that break from playing SF was a breather. When i jumped on to play one round of SF i was pissed off and frustrated with it. I think after i get done with the up coming tourney’s i am not gonna worry about it anymore. Like Rol said. Life is a little more important right now and i dont’ have the luxuary to just sit and practice liek alot of everyone else does. So enjoy the time you have now and keep playing strong and hard.
So i just made the decision while i am watching Sean and Ian. I am just gonna be a cascual player after the 2v2 tourney. I might play in the tourney on the 6th…but other then that i dont think i will be a hardcore player anymore.
I will continue to train and play hard so i can beat you all when it comes down to playing casuals at home town…but i’m hanging up my coat for the SF hardcore playing

That was fun last night. That was the first time I played Rock Band since last August lol. HELLA BEAST DEM DRUMS SON!! lol.
Pat, it’s all good man, I was having fun with L1 and R1 faces. That and I was able to get water in between matches so it was all good. And arguing with Demarcus is like arguing with a brick wall. Not going to happen, unfortunately for you, Demarcus is higher on the arguing Tier list than you are.

Chris, like Gavin said, if you aren’t having fun you shouldn’t play. I’m not really having fun, but I’m having fun with everyone else, so thus I’m having fun ha ha, maybe you gotta see it like that? Oh and Rockband was a blast, except for Maximo254 = fail on guitar.

Sounds like you guys are having fun with that Rock Band; to bad I hate it. Chris, I think you have made a good decision, if the game is making you angry then maybe you should change your intentions with the game like you have. Me on the other hand, I can only have fun when there is competition. If we were to play something as simple as Uno, I would try to find a way to to tie skill in to it.
