CenTex: Killeen - We're Not Dead, We've Moved To Facebok! https://www.facebook.com/groups/146505068

Chris: you need to kill that noise. You get FOUR DAYS OFF! I only get two days off, and sometimes it is just one day off, and on the days that I do work I’m usually closing. That means I hardly get any play time because in the morning I take my kids to school, drop off Stacy, then depending on what is going on at the HS, I drop by to see if they need my help, then it’s my own ‘free time’ until I pick up the kids, Stacy, then hit up work… then I’m around games the rest of the time and I don’t play anything… just talking up about them and dealing with customers.

When I hit up SF, it’s all SF…

Leveling up in SF takes time… if you really want to level your game up, you have to set aside a time for it when available. These kids have nothing else to do… just focusing on school, so it doesn’t surprise at all if Pat, Ray, and others are on a higher level. I wouldn’t expect anything less from them or anyone without a job/no school if they want to get better.

If I’m seen in dashboard or main menu in what seems like forever, 98% chance that I fell asleep

I know how you feel, but it gets harder when you are older… more responsibilities man. I was talking to Valle about this a few weeks ago and he completely agrees with me. He has a GF, work full time, social life, etc… and as you get older it gets harder staying on top due to time. Whenever he does get the chance to play, he’s on SF at least 4 hours day.

… and with that pal, I hope I motivated you enough to push all that aside to continue to play more. You’re my partner and its my job  Like Manny Rivera says, “… yes I can!” <from that show… can you fix it? yes we can, but if you don’t watch kids cartoons then… SHAME ON YOU!

Yup I got a 5 yr old I know about some handy manny. But your quote wasus quoted cause that’s bob the builder. Lol but ur right I take Amy free time I have away from both jobs to put on work on street fighter 4. Chris you know more than anybody how much I hated that game. But as you can tell that all the youngsters are playing these days. So I took what spare time I jar and put in work. I mean let’s face out of everybody on here I probably have the least amount of time to play, with both jobs and being a single parent. But when I do get some “me” time I’m all over sf4.

Oh Demarcus how do you make those avatars. Is there a program and where do I go to get it.

So when’s the tourney?

If that’s the case I’m not improving either then, cause if you (Chris) feel like you suck, but you beat me a few times the other night, then I must not be getting better. I will say I destroyed Brandon last night though, but I’m out for his black ass anyway. Anyway I’m down for some games via PSN tonight though, I even left my stick out so I can just play lol.

Man stop leaving your stick out that’s gross

Is it? I mean I keep it clean, and always wash my hands before and after I play

oh just to let you know im trying to convince mike ross to fly down and be my partner for the 2vs2 tourney. lets hope this happens.

does anyone know what times the people play SF at CTC?

Doesn’t it seem like only yesterday we were all meeting regularly at Tilt (lol, Tilt…) to get on Marvel when it first came out? Before anyone had figured out MSP or Spiral/Doom trap and every combination of every character was seen, rotation on the stick was constant and we were all having a blast?

Those were our…glory days, I guess you might say, and for many this is likely true not only of games, but life in general. For me personally, all though all of that was great fun, I wish I had had a better notion of priorities, and a clearer foresight. I had no true reckoning of the horse-shit that was to come as the world came knocking on the door. Not being raised with the silver-spoon complex in any way shape or form helped a lot in terms of maturity, but I was still sure it would all work out in its own time. I suppose it all could have, but just maintaining the 9-5 behind he whip job certainly was not the smartest thing to do.

I’ve learned, almost too late, that you gotta take strides toward the success you want. Most of my reason for dropping not just SF but most gaming has been pursuit of my book, what I feel is likely (sadly) my first best chance at putting myself in a position where I can breathe easy, and that’s not necessarily to mean living a life of luxury, but just being able to know that, if I wanted, I COULD devote an entire week to gaming and not feel guilty. I guess there’s an equation of some sort in here some where…

Play hard + minimal work = mediocrity of life

Modest play + modest work = modest life

Minimal play + work hard = exceptional life…with the BONUS of EXTRA time to PLAY HARDER for the hard work you put in

Chris man, by my reckoning, we’re at a pivotal moment in our lives where we have to figure out which is the scenario we want to end up with. Most of us played so hard, but where did it get us? So don’t feel bad, you’re not the only one feeling burned out and dispirited, but maybe this is just us reaping what we sewed, after a fashion. Of course, hindsight is 20x20…

chris and chris are right.
we’re lost sight of the enjoyment in the games we play. i find myself loving tekken more because we’re not inside eachothers assholes the whole time.
now im deciding to branch off. perhaps im not brawler material… ill go to the comps, ill do the silly little ranbats… but im not gonna be putting my time into this game.
any game at that. my girlfriend has gotten mad at me for the amount of time i’ve put into games. i’ve learned the error of my ways.
im going to play my game my way on my own time. if you have advice for me on my game i’d not like to see it posted here. write me a message, call me, tell me in person. but be aware that im not so interested anymore.
in my opinion the seriousness makes me not want to play, and i didn’t pay 80 mother fuckin dollars to associate a game with negative aspect on life.
i want to have fun with my boys every couple nights. and i would like to bring my girlfriend to a fun environment and perhaps you’ll even see her enjoying it.
as of right now im not taking this game seriously.
if ya don’t care for my oppinion… i hope you like not enjoying video games.

Damn. * lifts head up * So here i lay in bed thinking to myself. How can we better ourselves and have a good time doing it! Let’s all go bother Sean while he is working at Wendy’s and get some Baconator’s and call it a day. lol Anyways everyone is right. We all have our ways of improvement and we all are good in our own individual ways. We really have lost site in having fun with the game and we are taking it a bit more serious then we want. Sure getting good is what everyone wants but training and playing against each other while having fun shows how we can improve. Sorry everyone if i have lost some spirit in fighting but i want us all to have fun and enjoy the game. I mean look at all the other game threads. They are having fun. Not bitching about someone’s joystick or how bad others play. They don’t bitch about how people are doing things wrong. They don’t bitch period. They hang out have fun and enjoy the time they have with there friends. I enjoy spending time with you guys playing the games and learning. One day tho we will all completele seperate and look back and wonder what was i really fighting for in those games? Was it for the fun times…or the bitter bitchyness like gavin had when he said my joystick didn’t work…we can only wonder…but anyways off to bed i go…its my friday and i can’t fuckin sleep but i am gonna try too…talk to everyone on the other side!

that’s why they aren’t a K-T BRWLR! It’s all about bitchin’ and moanin’ here! Better get your shit right! If you wanna go be a pansy then go over to Marioparties.com, this is SRK where REAL MEN stay, and EVEN REALLER MEN are K-T BRWLR, now get your punk ass outta here, punk.

Just kidding, I’m always having fun, I have fun no matter what lol, hell I’m having fun now

::EDIT::

Oh shit, bringing it back! CVS2, 3S, too bad you’re missing HD:Remix from that tourney list

My parts came in Now I’m just waiting for my case and 360 pcb to arrive and I can fully begin construction of my stick

Feb 20th? Sounds dope  You should include dj hero because that’ll probably bring in some people as well

Damn dude, you need to mod my stick, where’d you buy the parts from? Lizard Lick?

Yup, Lizard Lick. I always order from him.

shipping is faster if you go to gamingnow.com, I’d say the prices are about the same as far as the parts go.
