There’s already vids of the new pyramid stage and characters. Is legion in this game? I have only seen the first 3 stages.
They should make those OP weapons slowly drain health.
One other complaint I have is that the characters seems really sluggish. I don’t remember their movements being so slow in the other games. Playing on that crappy 360 pad doesn’t help, either.
I’ve been trying to farm chaos rings but not one yet sadly. Also tried to get death’s robe but no luck. Though I got some snazzy winged boots to make me run fast. Chaos rings are not broke from what i hear. It’s only makes mp regen double so its still fast but not broke like it was before. Though If it stacks that would be great.
I’m on at night usually so someone can hit me up for an invite. I can farm whatever.
Also any of you guys try survival mode yet? Whenever I try I can’t get into a damn game.
I don’t think survival has been enabled yet. Valmanway is dumb as fuck, and I want two really bad.
Yeah, 360 pad sucks. I’ve seen the videos. Kind of curious how Julius and Jonathan will stack up. I have a feeling that balance isn’t high on Konami’s priority list. So it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a big gap between them. There is a chance they will both just end up at the bottom though, Julius is going to need a lot more than a slow whip attack and some subweapons to compete, swinging on vines won’t make up for it.
I’ve never cared for Maria all that much, especially the young version.
I hope they keep making new characters though.
I use the 360 analog stick myself. The only issue are the DF dive kicks at times. I have no problem doing Jonathan Martial Arts moves on command every time.
I want to use my arcade stick on this, but it has no LT/RT buttons.
I, too, lament Jonathan’s shittness. I honestly think his Guard Stance should regen MP quickly.

Yep, dual Yasus are HILARIOUSLY broken. Picked up a pair while randomly going through Chapter 5 Hard with Soma.
Got two valmanways within like 4 runs on drac. The damage on them is shit without berserk mail, which I don’t have. I don’t use them, except against drac or sometimes death if my team blows. It is fun dicking around with Soma’s general souls and the weaker weapons that have special effects (like the milican sword). I’ll probably try Johnathan next. Still sucks that the other characters are DLC, but hopefully the prices aren’t too bad.

Anyway with such a strong group of you playing this game and my unyielding loyalty to the series, I think I might bite the stake and buy this game. With only Tomb Raider left to get this can be my free one.
I picked this up last night; it’s awesome. I’m disappointed reading that Johnathan never picks picks up really. I was dragging his ass through chapters trying to level up my subweapons and make him on par with everyone else, but it’s just a pain.
Crissaegrim made SOTN way easy, not that it was terribly difficult before. Oh well.

I honestly see nothing wrong with Jonathan, I have no problem keeping up or holding my own on the maps. Sub weapons are the money. Maybe its cause I highly enjoyed old school castlevanias as well as new school. but I say again. Nothing wrong with him. I mean obviously, he isn’t gonna be OP like Shanoa or Charolette .
Im hype for Julius. When he drops, to hell with Jonathan though. Belmonts are REAL men…But if Nathan Graves had made his way in this with that broke ass DSS card system, I’d be speed running this bitch everyday. Ah well, one can dream.

I thought Shanoa and Charlotte was broken. Then I saw the leaderboards of Soma and Alucard all top 10 and easily saw why. Absolutely ridiculous.
If anyone wants help with boss grinding just lemme know. Just be sure to say whether you want me to go ahead and kill him, or wait up for you.
Also, those pinwheels brauner throws on hard are fucking rough. That, and when Dracula drifts (not the hand swipe) because he is a little off center, are really the only things that scare/kill me. But learning to deal with those triangles was a bitch.
Anybody up for cheesing some subweapon or spell levels? Everything I have is at least 6 but going from 8 to 9 takes forever. So if any of you want to level Jon or Shanoa I will be on later tonight for awhile. I don’t want to take the time to do it all on runs through levels.
Dracula drops Simon’s Plate doesn’t he? Is there only the three pieces of Simon’s gear? What cape and accessories are you guys using?
send me an invite if you want. Best place to grind masteries is hard survival mode. equip a master ring and an astral ring and go crazy on gergoth then die, revive and repeat.
There doesn’t seem to be that many good capes. Crimson cloak seems the best for soma and alucard. For accessories I use master rings for mastery on shanoa and jonathan. Soul eaters on soma. If I want attack though I use megionlord or however you spell it.
edit: Best armor for running dracula is berserker armor imo. I can kill his 3rd form with alucard and 2 yatsutsunas before his first spell sometimes. I still don’t got valmanway yet.
Also survival mode is hilarious. It makes all those valmanways and yatsutsunas look low tier.

Simon’s stuff drops in Dracula’s stage from chests (don’t know about the greens, def the purple ones though), but the plate might be Dracula chest specific.
Got a third valmanway, which upset the guy I was playing with.
We tried, I got disconnected from every game I tried tonight, does this happen to anybody else? Sometimes its fine but other times my teammates just keep disappearing even though I’m still connected to Live.

I have Simon’s Headband and shoes, I just need his armor. I’m using the Paladumentum or whatever cape, I’d be using the megliord things too if I had my subweapons finished. Some of them are just so time consuming (Axe, Grenade).
