This is what I’m talking about; the evidence had already degraded so badly that the medical examiner that performed the autopsy was unable to determine the exact cause of death. That isn’t the prosecutors fault that the body wasn’t found until months after the death.
Wow, people besides my American Idol-watching, not so intelligent aunt got wrapped up in this trial too? That’s kind of sad.
Regardless of what happened in this trial, I always wondered why jury trials aren’t banned for murder cases. Those are like the most unpredictable trials you can do, and there’s too many variables to account for when taking in how the Jury could be swayed or influenced.
Because this is America and you get tried by a jury of your peers in this country?
She got off if the prosecution would of made a better case she wouldn’t of gotten off. Plain and simple.

Did she do it? Of course. There’s simply no other logical, plausible explanation for her behavior.
But the prosecution didn’t do a very good job establishing this case. Circumstantial evidence was the backbone of their case, and what little hard evidence they had was successfully discredited by the defense.
Then you had state’s co-counsel laughing in court and the judge acting very biased in favor of the prosecution (he’s a former prosecutor himself). This made the jury suspicious I’m sure; at the very least it made the jurors dislike the prosecution.
Did she do it, of course. But it wasn’t proven beyond beyond a reasonable doubt.
I think the real important subject about all of this is how so many people are losing “friends on Facebook” over each other’s views. IMO, it’s not all* that serious*.
I’ll put it like this: If I didn’t tell my mom where I was going, or if those streetlights had turned on and I wasn’t within earshot, I had BETTER be kidnapped or I WOULD be found dead…If I were ever found at all. Obviously, Casey isn’t my mom.
