i didn’t find madworld to be that great sure it was fine i like that it’s a part of my collection but it constantly reminds me of a shittier no more heroes

also if you can, not being sarcastic or anything, i want to see good advertising for something non first party from nintendo that is, not kingdom hearts anything, not a motion game and doesn’t have gimmicks slapped into an existing game using mushrooms and nintendo noises to sell it.
I don’t think Vanquish sold that much better than MadWorld did, and that came out on both consoles.

But 800k units between 2 consoles doesn’t sound that bad, yes it would be cool if it broke the 1 Million units, even better if on both consoles but outside a few games, that usually doesn’t happen

BTW Boyonetta sold almost 2 Million units between both consoles (800k on the 360 and 1.05 millions on ps3), so imo it didn’t sold bad

Except, no, it couldn’t have been done on the systems we already have now. The game was “CANCELLED”, not sure if you guys understand what that means. It was NEVER, EVER going to come out. Like, not on ANY SYSTEM, not in 2 years, not in a MILLION YEARS. That’s what happens when a game gets cancelled, like what happened with Megaman Legends.
Now, instead of seeing a perfectly good IP go to waste, Nintendo decided to salvage the game on the condition that it’s exclusive to their console. So you have two options. Buy/rent/borrow(shit, all the dumb kids are going to buy it right? could probably ask Billy next door’s mom to borrow her son’s wii) a WiiU and play the game, OR treat it like it was cancelled and rage at Sega, not at Nintendo for saving the bloody game.
Bitching that a game that was cancelled has been salvaged but “oh noez, not on my console” is about as childishly immature as it gets.
Hating on stuff is fine, but at one point, you gotta sit down and realize it was either this, or no Bayonetta 2. And I think any real fans of whichever franchise would rather see a franchise they love continue to do well(hopefully) even if it’s not on a console of their liking rather than seeing the franchise die because no one wanted to fund it. At least now you have the faint glimmer of hope of the game being ported to your console(considering a lot of 3rd party Nintendo exclusives get rereleased), or a sequel/prequel seeing the day on your console rather than the nothingness that preceded this news.
Honestly, I’m a bit shocked by the reactions in this thread. It’s almost like you guys would rather have had the game die than be released on a Nintendo console.

Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation isn’t even comparable, Bayonetta 2 was (supposedly) a result of finances. Capcom straight up pulled the plug out of nowhere and blamed the fans for it getting cancelled.
I was going to post a wave of GIF’s, but I didn’t feel like it, so here’s one that shows how I feel.
But the thing is, they don’t NEED us. They got their money from Wii Fit and Pogeymans. What motivation could they possibly have for trying to win back the core gamer demographic? Projects become more expensive to produce and will sell less due to their image being diminished. This move really doesn’t make any sense.
Also can’t blame Platinum for wanting to finish their game. If the project got dropped and they got an offer, they’d be dumb not to take it. Still sucks for us though, first Capcom lets some second rate action game developer take a steaming dump on DMC, and now this.
