What if all the haters out there just buy a Wii U from Amazon.com, or other store that accepts consoles back, and either buy the game or rent it? Then, after 30 days, which is more than enough to finish and get bored of the game, they just return the console to Amazon, or the store, to get their money in return? In that way, they do not have to buy the Wii U console at all. Just saying…
By the way, I am a Nintendo fan, but honestly paying more than $300 for not so next generation graphics… oh well no thanks! If I ever want to play Bayonetta, I believe that the above idea would work very nice.
I would jump off a cliff

because I would have to buy it then, lol! But Nintendo has burned me so badly. Well, I would get the white one and pretend it was actually a Dreamcast while playing…
…until they put damn Mario toys in the capsule machines and have old NES Mario games at the arcade Dx
Censorship woes should be waved since Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge has a trailer with Ayane pretty much naked while getting a massage

I don’t get it guys…Nintendo has been trying to shed the ‘kiddie’ image for some time now and now that they’re pretty much doing it with success and then some you guys are giving them shit for it? I’m trying to find logic in this…
im pretty sure vanquish 2 will also be a wiiU exclusive, and it sounds like bayonetta is here to stay with nintendo for a bit
“Along with their new hardware, Nintendo, as a company, is dedicated to establishing a new future for the games industry, as you can tell by their record of passionate support for gaming. Alongside Nintendo, we hope to grow the Bayonetta brand beyond where it stands today, allowing even more gamers around the world to experience the action of our beloved witch. As developers, we are working hard to make this a reality.
We hope that you will look forward to what we have in store. Tatsuya Minami
President & CEO, PlatinumGames Inc.”
i think without a doubt if vanquish 2 (the greatest 3rd person action/shooter ever) is happening, its coming out on the wiiU, which is going to be a mega bonus for those of us planning to cop the wiiU. ng3r, wonderful101, bayonetta, and possibly vanquish 2, im in there.
yall niggas stop frontin. you know you want that wiiU. it just doesnt fit for you financially right now, and thats all good. know one is saying you have to get it on its release date, and im sure bayo isnt coming out until q1 next year anyways. as gamers we want shit first day or early, and bayonetta 2 is a first day purchase of over 400 dollars with game, pro pad, and taxes combined, but im sure you will find some games to make purchasing a wiiU worth it, and when is ps4 and xbox720 even coming out? a year or more from now? you will have plenty of time to save up for that shit too.
I’m Yusuke Hashimoto, director of Bayonetta 2. It has been three years since Bayonetta, a title I was also a part of… I’m incredibly happy to be able to announce that we are working on a sequel. Alongside Bayonetta’s creator, Hideki Kamiya, I’m working on everything from creating a compelling world to character designs (I will be designing the enemies again), and everyone on our talented team is united around the core of Bayonetta, Climax Action, in an effort push the series forward. For empowering our heroine with incredible new action to introducing new characters (which you may have noticed in the teaser trailer), Bayonetta will further expand on the mythology of the Trinity of Realities – Inferno, Paradiso, and our human world. I can’t wait to take the journey with you.
Yusuke Hashimoto
Director, Bayonetta 2
After Bayonetta was released, I was coming back on the bullet train with Yusuke Hashimoto, pondering various ideas for sequels or spin-offs to Bayonetta over a beer. I never thought we’d actually get to announce a sequel to her story, so I am absolutely over the moon.
Even though there has been a bit of a gap since the release of the last game, but I still got lots of request for a sequel from gamers. We were secretly making one the entire time. While I am not the director of this game, I am still supervising the world, story, characters, etc. in close coordination with Hashimoto, and I have been from the very beginning. You have nothing to work about on that end. And of course, plenty of members from the first Bayonetta are on-board and working hard under the direction of Hashimoto, so I look forward to work every day, coming in and seeing all the progress they have made on the game. With new hardware, we look forward to expanding on the Climax Action of Bayonetta, so sit tight and get ready!
Use my head? Have a seat b. There have been plenty of games where you play as a different character in the same universe, and they were sequels. Metal Gear Solid 2 being the most famous and Devil May Cry 4.
They should have been waved since Conker’s Bad Fur Day. lol
yeah man. maybe with nintendo about to release bayonetta 2 AND ninja gaiden razor’s edge, maybe this is nintendo’s way of telling everyone they are abandoning their whole “wii is casual” & “wii are family friendly” vibe for their next console.
this is probably nintendo stating wiiU is for “hardcore” gamers.
this may be a bright new beginning for nintendo gamers. one that involves lots of gory violent blood soaked games.
hmmmmmmm.
First, I want you to cite your source like how I’m about to.
Second, the game wasn’t released on the Wii because of the strict file size requirement placed on WiiWare titles. Not because of any of the game’s outrageous humor.
So for you, and anyone else, stop spreading bullshit. There’s enough of it in the world already, no sense in shoveling it around further. Because even if you are joking someone might actually believe you.
I doubt it, as that’s where they’ve been making all their money in addition to their other products. A better business plan would be “Alright, we’ve scooped up all the Mums, Grandmas, and kids with our current direction. Now let’s focus on making more “hardcore” games available on our platform so we can get dat gamer paypuh”
If Ninty decided to buy Platinum I’d invest in WiiU without hesitation.
It was a quote directly from Tommy on IGTM, or the commentary for it, I forget which.
“Killing people is fine, but you can’t shoot people the bird on Nintendo consoles”. Or something similar to that effect. Nintendos censorship was more than they were wanting to deal in the first place, which is the entire point of my post. Nintendo has strict censorship policies that they still follow.
Which is also why they turned down The Binding of Isaac.
EDIT: And I shouldn’t have said thats why SMB was denied, because it wasn’t, but it was something they werent allowed to do, which was the point I was trying to make.
If I recall correctly, it wasn’t Super Meat Boy but The Binding of Isaac that was denied, and frankly you can’t blame them due to the religious controversies, even though it’s a pretty damn good game.
