Casa De Bayo - Bayonetta 2

I’m sure most DmC got more people’s blood pumping than Bayonetta 2.

from being angry as fuck

oh my god do any of you think about what you’re posting?

Bayo 2 is being published by Nintendo, as in not a third party company. There’s not going to be a chance of this going anywhere else.

Plus you all are seriously overreacting about the sales factor. It’s not going to matter whatsoever since it hasn’t stopped them at all.

Publishers own part of the IP.
SEGA got rid of a few things earlier this year.
March 2013 release is too soon for it to not have had some work done before SEGA revealed that especially with how meticulous PG is.

Just connect the dots.

Your point is shit though. I could buy a PC in it’s entirety for 500$ and get access to nearly every single game ever released before 1994, run almost any application I want, and play any videos I want at a reasonable resolution. The Wii-U will cost you more than 500$ once you include the price of games (which, at 50 a pop at BEST, goes up pretty quickly) and every game released will cost plenty with no “alternatives” if Nintendo does their security properly. You won’t be watching any video you want and you probably have region locks to restrict game access. Probably won’t be running any application you want on it either.

It’s a tragedy that I won’t be able to play the latest and greatest games with my peers, but the 500$ PC with 20 years of games is a better value IMO. Add in high end components, you’re looking at 2000 tops…and now have 10 more years of games, and everything already awesome about the PC just got better.

What’s the point again? (edit: actually, who cares. nevermind.)

If I connect the dots, it would seem that SEGA said they couldn’t afford to take the risk with the game, and a bunch of people immediately said “haha they did it again, time to scoop this shit up.” Cue Sega saying “no comment”, people involved with game trolling consumers while publishers negotiate.

Hence I would rather have Platinum make a sequel to MadWorld.

There is no way in hell people are going to buy a Wii U for Bayonetta. Not seeing it.

I mean Viewitful Joe and Resident EVil 4 became non-exclusive because of Capcom, not sure that will happen with Sega. We should see…

That doesn’t mean Sega had ever agreed to publish it in the first place. You can’t cancel something that was never officially in development. Your connecting dots that don’t exist. Just cuz Sega sold Guilty Gear back to Ark System Works doesn’t mean a Guilty Gear game got canceled. Stop reading into things that aren’t there.

Sega has nothing to do with this game.

I always found interesting all this publisher deals, since not always the publisher company owns the IP perse (or part of it), sometimes they own the rights of publishing and nothing more, and other times, they own the publishing rights and part of the game (sometimes even worse and own all the intellectual rights), knowing how sega likes to work i wouldn’t be surprised that they owned part (or all) of the ip’s that platinum made while working with them, which would mean that now Nintendo probably owns part of Bayo and maybe the other platinum IP’s, that alone can be somehow problematic, because now nintendo would have to accept whatever they want to do with their games, besides making them Nintendo exclusives, all of this of course assuming that they are in this situation

This thread is threatening to become the Utah Salt Flats with all this nerd rage. Shame on all of you wishing for this game to fail. You’re the same kind that goes around talking about how this fighter and that fighter should die so everyone can all go play Marvel 3.

If you all cared for Bayonetta as much as you say you do, you’d support it no matter where it went. The only reason I even own a PS3 is because of Bayo. I had a 360 that RROD’d and said fuck it… Then I got an 80gb PS3 fat that YLOD’d and would have said fuck that if I hadn’t found a cheap repair shop option.

You people trying everything possible to redirect your Nintendo hate towards this franchise’s success/failure. Fact is, Ninty put up the dollars to save a franchise(and publisher) who makes amazing things happen, but can never find support in today’s Madden/CoD/AssCreed dominated world of watered-down remakes and sequels. I applaud them for supporting a talented development studio and making sure that this game got made.

Stop wishing for good things to fail because they don’t cater exactly to your whims. I think its a good thing that it will be on the WiiU, at least I know I won’t have to shell out additional money to repair/replace the console like I have dealing with Sony/Microsoft’s shoddy manufacturing. But I bet no one will ever bring THAT shit up…

word. i tried to change the flow on like page 3 with what i would like to see come back and what can go, but i’ll have to wait until a gameplay trailer from tgs or something before people stop talking about wiiU nonsense. it sucks but what are you gonna do.

im sure nintendo is fully aware where bayonetta’s fanbase is, and is aware to get them to come over will be a bit of a task because of how costly it will be for the fans, and im sure theyre also aware that the game needs to be OUTSTANDING to get people to cop a wiiU for it. so on one hand im confident this will be better then bayonetta 2, and just to put it simply, a dream game because nintendo knows it needs to exceed expectations at least 2 fold for bayonetta 2 to sell well.

im sure yusuke knows bayo 2 needs to blow bayonetta 1 out of the water to quell the nerd raging in all the bayonetta fans. stop frontin like yall cant save up money over the next half a year to cop a wiiU and bayonetta, not to mention im sure there will be other titles you will enjoy on wiiU. split the cost with a friend, save, or just dont. its to late now, the papers have been signed, and i assume the game is more then half way done at this point.

the rage over this is beyond dumb. niggas act like PG made this decision lightly, which i doubt they did, and had a plethora of other options but just decided to go with the hardest route to bayonetta being a financial success. LOL

So…there is no option for Sony/Mircosoft to buy the rights for this time because Nintendo owns it?..

Yeah, I rather have Nintendo give Madworld another chance.

A. You’re a bad person because you bought 360/PS3 despite widespread failure and shitty controllers, effectively saying you’re okay with that.
B. You’re a bad person because you don’t want to buy a Wii-U for one game, effectively saying that console exclusives are a good thing.
C. You’re a bad person for not buying all three consoles, which means you aren’t rich like me.

o_O

I already did actually. :nono:

LMAO, no one here is saying that they want the game to fail you dumbass, on the contrary everyone is pointing their concerns that the game being a Nintendo exclusive can hurt the game.
And no, just because we like/love the game, that doesn’t necessarily means that we should support it unconditionally, not everyone has the capacity to buy a new console, and not everyone is willing to buy a new console for just one game, not everyone is interested on all the other games that nintendo has to offer.

And you don’t know yet if the WiiU would or wouldn’t have problems like the previous 360’s and some version of the PS3, hell the Wii also has problems of consoles dying due random shit.
There is a good possibility that the 1st generation of WiiU can have hardware problems, that happens with almost all the consoles.

You know, i dont actually know anyone who their PS3 died on a unfix able way, i am still rocking my 1st nd only PS3, and a fat one to boot

Bayonetta 2 is going to be an amazing game, that isn’t even the problem atm.

The Wii-U going to cost more than 500 is no different than owning a Sony or Microsoft console. Well, maybe not since your point about proper security means if any of the next 3 consoles get jailbroken then the only thing that’ll cost people are buying the console itself and extra hard drives to store pirated games.

Gradient Sliverbum, how much involvement does Sega have with this game?

Yeah I don’t have much to add, too much crying in here. I do plan on getting a wiiU after a price drop and I’m happy just to get confirmation of Bayonetta2 existing even if it’s not on the platform I prefer. That being said Bayonetta2 is better than no Bayonetta2 at all, at least now people who don’t like the new DmC have an alternative, albeit an expensive one.

I’m sorry but… I just can’t get pass this Wii U exclusive shit. It hurts so bad to see apart of my life taken away. all I have now is MGS:R. I never thought I would have to watch a Bayonetta playthrough on Youtube.

Why are you calling me a dumbass, sir? I never called you any names…

You bring up a good point in that first gen consoles can have problems, however, Nintendo’s systems have never had widespread issues like the 360’s nearly 50% failure rate, and if they did, Nintendo has always addressed them honestly and repaired/replaced at NO COST to the consumer unlike those other guys.

I am not a Nintendo apologist. The company has made many questionable moves from my standpoint as a gamer. This is not one of those times. This was a good move on their part. Sony or Microsoft could have done the same thing I bet and chose not to, so what’s done is done.

If the game doesn’t sell well, it won’t be Nintendo or Platinum’s fault. It will be the fault of everyone who claims to love Platinum so much, but won’t buy their games, regardless of what console they’re on.
