Fuck you Nintendo burn in hell forever.
Lets all just cross out fingers for bayonetta 2 sigma
Publishers can get different type of deals with game companies, some are also known for being very draconian when it comes about publisher deals.
For all what we know, Sega maybe sold their publisher rights to the highest bidder.
It’s actually not a huge stretch, remember when Capcom said it was going to make RE4 and the Resident Evil series a Gamecube exclusive?
Look what happened.
It’s pretty stupid hating when both Sony and Microsoft failed to support platinum games.
Either wait for the 720/ps4 version or buy a wii u

It’s all speculation at this point, this whole thing is a way to get the hardcore to buy WiiU’s. The one crowd that escapes Nintendo’s grasp for very good reason, have you seen their plan for online infrastructure yet? On no website does it go into the nature of this deal, all I am saying is people are emotionally jumping the gun.

Agreed, it turned out to be one of the most ported games ever lol.

I’m surprised the ENTIRE internet bought the whole Bayo 2 being WiiU exclusive forever.
Think about it. NONE of those game were published by anyone who claimed it was exclusive.
Neither the first Bioshock or NG2 have MSFT’s logo on it. You know why Mass Effect 1 still hasn’t come to the PS3? It was published directly by Microsoft (before Bioware was bought by EA). Their logo is proudly pasted on the front of it. Microsoft technically own Mass Effect 1. Now Nintendo’s doing the same thing; it won’t ever be on a another system that’s not Nintendo’s.
Nintendo kept developers in small, iron boxes with breathing holes for ten years (1985-1995.) The following ten years, they let the developers out of said boxes but continued to keep them locked in the basement (1995-2005.) Some developers took advantage of the situation and escaped. From 2005 on, they have slowly allowed them to walk around the house and talk to friends after an interview. This has resulted in some developers visiting Nintendo and healing past scars. Based on this history, we can assume that Bayonetta 2 will be multiplat in 2025.
Hurray!

- That was Capcom.
- One of the people in charge was publicly shamed by this.
- Same guy lost his job (well he might have quit, I forgot tbh.)
When will developers fucking learn? NINTENDO IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THESE KINDS OF GAMES.
Nintendo ALWAYS does this. They release a new console, realize that they’re still hounded by the retarded kiddie/casual gamer image they beefed up from their last console, they try getting a few hardcore M-rated games on their new system, ALL of which fail to find their audience, and then they finally say “fuck it” and go back to releasing shitty toothless games for soccer moms and 9 year olds.
Except now they’re going to sacrifice a great franchise in the process of doing this. If this game sells poorly (and it will), it’ll all be Nintendo’s fault, and then we’ll never see another Bayonetta game again. Honestly I think they would’ve been better off just leaving the franchise as it was than having to release this black stain on the series. Sega’s going attribute its poor sales to a lack of interest in Bayonetta and not the fact that Nintendo’s demographic is a COMPLETE MISMATCH for this game.
I really hope someone blows up Nintendo HQ.

That is a good point but I just don’t see Bayo 2 staying on WiiU unless they outright buy the developer. It’s too early to say at this point and no site has gone into the nature of the deal. Yes Nintendo has the buying power but I’m gonna keep an open mind and entertain the possibility. I feel bad for people who buy a WiiU just for this game.

The Key difference here is that the game was made and published by capcom alone, after whatever exclusivity deal with nintendo was off, they were free to do whatever they wanted with the game.

Too early to tell b!
Worst thing I’ve seen from Nintendo is messing with new IPs by forcing old characters/IPs into them because they had no faith in them being able to stand on their own or whatever (Starfox Adventures, Kirby Epic Yarn).
Bayonetta 2 isn’t going to sell well anyway. It’s a PG game, they turn out to be awesome yet no one buys them. It’s why Clover was shut down in the first place.
I want to believe
but looking back, there’s what…a couple of Rare’s titles? Can’t find many instances of a game published by Nintendo that ends up multiplat down the road.
The Wii U also doesn’t come close to the power of a GTX 660, doesn’t perform nearly as many tasks as a GTX 660 could, and if NVIDIA wasn’t so fucking questionable, would probably last longer than five years in today’s market (but everything after the 8000 cards just tend to die or fry before people upgrade them.) Sega dumped Valkyria in the US market by the way (you can import VC3 for the PSP, I guess.) You also can get by with a much cheaper alternative by waiting 3 months or so and that card can last you four years before you actually “need” to upgrade (hell to be honest, if I had to shove my 7900 back in from my current GTX 460, I probably wouldn’t care since the only thing I’d lose is high resolutions in higher end games…since my 8800GTX and GTX 260 are dead.)
Can you play games with just a video card, or do you still need to buy a motherboard, RAM, CPU, power supply, hard drive, operating system, and controllers? Point is, Wii-U is the same price as a 660 but can play games straight out of the box.
Current plan is I get Wii-U, and just wait for Haswell and the Geforce 700 series for a new PC build to play the PS4/720 console ports.
Oh the tears are so delicious!
HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE!
I enjoyed the first game and it kicked my ass on harder modes, the fact that we’re getting a sequel at all is fine by me. As I look back Bayonetta reminded me of the long forgotten (but beloved by me) P.N.03 I also want a Madworld sequel now.
SRK: we ain’t never happy!

I don’t mind the Nintendo easter eggs like what they are doing with TTT2 but yeah those games didn’t turn out so great. Clover/Platinum just don’t have that COD touch I guess.

At this point, i prefer to think on the worst case scenario than keeping any kind of hope, that way, if i am proved wrong, i would be happy, if i was right, i wouldn’t have to deal with my dreams being crushed
Also, history has shown that games made on this kind of deals never see the light of a multi platform release, specially when companies like Nintendo, Microsoft, Sega, etc are involved

Publishing doesn’t make it 100% just look at what happened to Sega with Bayo 1.
Pretty sure that sega sold the publisher rights, it is not coincidence that many companies are getting their games back from the hands of sega almost at the same period of time, like ASW with GG, Dimps with TRF, etc, etc

Well I guess we will see but yes I am not denying 100% Nintendo doesn’t have a lock but damn at how Mad World sold on the Wii. IMO Nintendo should buy Platinum and make em their 1st party dev of hardcore titles. The fact they are not bought yet gives me that small window of hope and opportunity. Well this news has shocked the whole world no one has got even to analyzing the trailer yet. Like who was that person in the robes? And damn the “2” in the logo looks hot!

Still looks better than DmC
As dissapointed as I am about it being on Wii-U, that little teaser trailer got my blood pumping more then any of the DmC trailers have lol.
I have to be honest, recently the Wii-U has been enticing me with stuff like Project 100 and the talk of the next Zelda game. It sounds like Nintendo is trying to be a real contender again.
I really didn’t want a Wii-U but it already has 2 games on it I really want.
Sony and Microsoft could very well have picked it up. Hell, another publisher might have. How do you know Nintendo didn’t put the most money down? And what’s with this shit about people saying that they know why Sega cancelled Bayonetta 2? All anyone ever said was that a random ass anonymous source said it was scrapped. Nobody said why, nobody confirmed it existed until today, and the people involved with the game were being incredibly coy about it the entire time. Meaning that, there is an equal chance that people were interested outside of Sega, and Nintendo just happened to put the most money down. Now I’m glad Bayonetta 2 is coming, but it’s like taking x fighting game, giving it a much needed update…then putting it on the PSP or 3DS only. Like…what the fuck, man? It just doesn’t feel like a good decision on any level outside of, well, being Bayonetta 2.
THANK YOU! It was never fucking confirmed Bayonetta 2 was even in development. Some random article on fucking Kotaku said it was canceled when it had never even been confirmed as being developed and like fucking sheep every other news media picked it up. How do you cancel something that never existed in the first place?
Actually, I saw a few Blockbusters doing this during the last generation, but…Blockbuster is gone and all for the most part.
Well Metroid is basically getting fucked hard. The scary thing is that the people behind Other M want to work on a sequel. fuck that noise. The first new thing about F-Zero in nearly seven years is about a god damn amusement park ride (zzzz.) I liked Sunshine but Galaxy didn’t really hit it off with me, and I haven’t enjoyed any of the new Mario titles since Galaxy came out. While I’m okay with same old shit over and over Zelda, I am not okay with progressively shorter, easier, “what art direction do I want to do” so I kinda stopped caring after Twilight. And I doubt Nintendo is going to get the rights to Lunar 3, Alundra, MMX9, or MML3.
Nintendo is gonna have to pull some magic if they want my money this time. Bayonetta 2 was an interesting try, but it’s not enough for me.
edit: just checked, Nintendo pushed Pikmin 3 to the Wii U apparently. lol thanks assholes.
I implore you to try Skyward Sword, it’s really really good and pretty different.

Sega has nothing to do with this game.

I really like the new touches on the heel of Bayonetta boot. Really cool metal design and fits with the art style of the games. I wonder if shes going to have a whole outfit redesign, or if they are just going to add new touches to her current look.
Please make more of the extra costumes based more on Shimamuras art and less on bathing suits and gym outfits please! I want that Blond Bayonetta with the fro.
