Early screening in select cities. Movie is legit good. I can see why they re-signed the Russo Brothers for Captain America 3.

See with Cap 1 I was ‘meh’ it’s Captain America…I’ll see it because so far ‘Marvel’ hasn’t really let me down, and it was WAAAAYYY better than I anticipated, while Avengers I hoped for big things and it was delivered.
So for this one, my expectations are a little higher than Cap 1…alot higher truthfully, but I’m not expecting Avengers as the potential in Avengers read HULK is not - at least via trailers - involved in this. The nice thing about Cap versus say - Ironman - I think the range of villains for him to fight is a bit better. I know there is no Ironman planned right now, but the stage is set for a Mandarin fight next, but outside of that - all I can think about is Living Laser. Cap though? I feel like they could run off 5 movies without ‘drying out the well’.

Nothing with the Infinity gauntlet. The mid credits scene sets up Hydra as a lethal organization. Like I said, they somehow got a hold of Loki’s staff from Avengers and they have Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in a prison cell. Its a big set up that leads into Avengers 2. From what I hear, Guardians of the Galaxy will have some Infinity implications.
The details released for A2 sound like a fox movie production…to be outside cap and some potentially 3rd wave films nothing is getting me hyped.
Guardians doesn’t interest me at all either…botched all over.

Aside from what sounds like certain studio dickriders"cough rockbogart cough"just defending for the sake of defending…it just feels like a lot of characters will be getting origin stories completely unrelated to their source material in favour of new ones which in all honesty sound terrible and gross.
Hank pym being a old man,ultron being created by tony, age of ultron plot not having a fucking thing to do with the actual age of ultron plot, witch and silver not being mutants and not being related to mag and so on and so forth. I feel marvel studios has always to some extent attempted to follow the comics to some degree but with the new wave of movies it feels like they went the fox route and just said"fuck it lets make shit up just because." A2 sounds as appealing to me as days of future past and the new FF reboot.
You do realize the reason why Marvel has to do what they’re doing with Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch is because of the Mutant name that Fox owns. PLUS Feige has went on record saying when they do these Avengers movies, much like the comics, its always been a revolving door of different heroes. Marvel Studios doesn’t necessarily have to be beholden to the comics like that but from what I’ve heard about Antman, they keep the basis of who these characters are and vary it up.
