Captain America: The Winter Soldier thread

It’s a significant part of the story…just like magneto being the father of QS and witch.

Would be interesting to see Tony be the head of SHIELD and then start being an asshole towards Nick Fury.

“Too unreliable?! FUCK YOU BITCH now I sign yo paychecks!”

It’s still a pretty damn big part of the story bro.

It’s like saying tony being a villain didn’t play a role in the overall arch of civil war.

Of course the problem is, while Superheros might get some stigma, the Government is looking suspect after Cap 2 themselves. The only reason the world isn’t screwed right now, is because Justin Hammer is an idiot.

The core of the story works.

The problem is that none of the people in the MCU make any effort (aside from Banner for now) to conceal their public identities. Tony already outed himself, Cap doesn’t have a life anyway, and Thor lives on another plane of existence.

Aside from Shield operatives I don’t think anyone besides Banner has a secret identity.

It could change depending on how A2 shakes out though.

NEVER HEARD OF IT NIGGA

Since the movieverse is going cosmic I would like them to get another crack at Secret Invasion. The potential that story had is too good and it could be done right. Avengers: EMH proved it can be done.

How exactly did Panther beat the Skrulls? I keep putting off getting the trade for it.

I’d rather them not do civil war…it would be terribly botched and just horrible since they are missing a huge chunk of the cast.

Which arc is this? I gotta see it to believe it.

Namor trolling panther would be great to see on screen…those mind games from new avengers are delicious.

Does fox own the skrulls with their fantastic four license?

Yeah to be fair, Namor had that coming since he fucked over Panther pre-Doom War.

In regards to the partial ownership. With Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch its really simple since Marvel Studios can’t mention Magneto and Mutants. (Personally it’d be awesome if they made those two Stucker’s kids). Skrulls seems tricky considering the Chitauri were skrulls in the Ultimate comics.

Does fox own the skrulls with their fantastic four license?

The only thing tricky with Skrulls would be the using Super Skrull. Since Marvel can’t use the Fantastic Four there would be no basis for him to have those powers.

Yeah they’d be relegated to using the Skrulls that have other hero powers.

Can’t they just make references without using names?

Like what if they said"4 astronauts with powers"or even"some guy who jumps all over rooftops in New York City." I’m sure they can’t sue over such vague references.

pretty sure super skrull is owned by fox but skrulls are shared.

Every time I think of these licensing issues it makes me sad to consider just how much more awesome and cohesive of a universe we could be building with all the Marvel properties operating on the same page.
