Not what, who.
Hawkingbird:]If there’s no complaint I have it’s with the Winter Soldier. As someone who is gay for Bucky, I think this movie failed in showing how important Bucky is to Steve. I just take it as the movieverse not developing their relationship to make anyone care.[/spoiler

I agree, I kind of wanted Steve to flip the fuck out during the Bucky reveal to demonstrate how important he is to him. I guess I was spoiled by dat raw emotion when Zod’s neck gets broken in Man of Steel. But yeah, I would pin it on Steve being a more stoic, soldier-mentality type of cat who isn’t going to give you much emotion.
Cap’s a solider; he didn’t SHOW it. Take a wild guess just how hard that hit him.
At work, shaking head at all these people who didn’t get what the movie was really all about. Also every woman has their claws out for ScarJo, thinking she’s been in everything or something.
(Note: I’m Australian, people don’t really understand or relate to Cap, at all).
I’m inclined to agree; people are missing the point here.
They see this movie as something to kill 2 hours, and not a story worth learning stuff from.
Disgraceful.
Cap isn’t the embodient of 'Murrica because of his powers.
That’s because of his ideals and how he strives to hold to them.
Honestly, while there has been alot of talk about the hand to hand combat - ALL the action sequences were pretty spot on. The ONLY sequence in the whole movie that felt like a moment from Transporter 3 - was when Cap was on the motorcycle against the aircraft. Outside of that though, you felt all the blows (I lurched when Cap jumped through that window and fell), everything was super fast, but not so fast that you couldn’t track it, and best of all - it treaded that line of reality vs comic book. It felt grounded in reality - but by the distance bodies would go, it was obviously not reality haha…CapA treated that shit like Battletoads, everything flew off screen.
Also, I feel like hte big difference between this one and the first one…and even Avengers - CapA actually seemed like a superhero. I’ve NEVER had an appreciation for Cap, in a world filled with Magnetos and Hulks, a guy with a shield who can jump a little higher aint special, but this movie puts that notion on blast.
And kudos to the design team for Winter soldier’s arm…very well done.

You get it. lol

The broad I was with (who I bought jits lessons for), said I should give him a pass because Bucky had a metal. I dont give a fuck. Body triangle nigga.
He was way too high. He did get one of the arms tuck. But yeah no hooks. But Cap has that super strength. But then bucky has that same recovery.
He needs to do more gi.
crotchpuncha:He gave up fighting at let them capture him because he was too stunned to continue, you want him bawling or somethin?
Manly tears sell the drama!
Anyways I’m just saying he could have sold the trauma of seeing his dead friend alive killing people a bit more intensely.
Captain is from the greatest generation, men didn’t cry from shit back then. Him sobbing like R. Downey Jr. would not have fit his character at all.
What enhancements did Bucky have other than his arm? I don’t recall them actually how he had superhuman abilities too.

That’s true, but him fighting what amounts to a small war plays a part too; we ALL know he was affected badly by that, but
he has enemies to fight first.
Win, then get out the ice cream tubs. lol
Best Marvel movie ever.
And I HATE Steve Rogers.
That’s how good this movie is. Loved it. Seen it 2 already.

The arm is the only enhancement he has. In the comics, Bucky was always that good. It was the reason why he was partnered with Cap. It sucks the movie never goes into detail about Bucky new found combat prowess

He didn’t, just training and the arm.
Really nothing? The guy jumped off a highway bridge without having to even tuck and roll

comic worlds tend to bend the rules…marvel movies try to keep it pretty planted in the realm of reality. but i know a few comic movies/shows where humans get bounced off brick was n shit where in reality they would die but in the movie/show they are just really hurt.
In the first movie they tried to make him a super nazi with experiments

Powers and abilities
Having trained under Steve Rogers (the original Captain America in World War II) and others in the time leading up to World War II, “Bucky” Barnes is a master of hand-to-hand combat and martial arts, as well as being skilled in the use of military weapons such as firearms and grenades. He also used throwing knives on occasion and was a gifted advance scout. His time as the covert Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier helped to further hone his skills, making him the equal to his predecessor in combat skills and an expert assassin and spy. He is also fluent in many languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, and Japanese. He can understand French.

Well since he’s been brainwashed and surgically modified, it’s not a stretch to say he’s also on some drugs.

To be fair Grayson became the Batman so his OPness should never be called into question.

We can make something up, he was on bath salts.
Just reading Winter Soldier’s Wiki page, how much better would The Wolverine have been if he was up against the Winter Soldier instead of the dying old man. Stupid licences :bluu:
Watched it last night, the first half hour they straight lift MGS shit left and right, mostly Snake Eater.
The MGS film is never going to be made so I’m glad some of the cool bits are in a film.
Great popcorn flick, I just do not care about marvel comics at all.
