Ding ding ding.
To be fair though, I don’t think a lot of the SBX fans play marvel so they were expecting something more than this.

now that more stuff has been revealed whats the reception like in japan ?
^Apparently a dumber, more boring version of HnK.
yeah lets compare the last in a line of buggy marvel VS games made by capcom in 98 to a brand new game in 2008:karate:
Still, when you look at it at the big picture, the two games aren’t as far and away from each other as one may think.
MvC2: A quick and easy cash-in on a successful line of games, on Capcom’s part. Probably the only reason it was ported to the Naomi board was for the sake of better memory handling of all the characters that ended up being in the game, as well as the ease of porting it to the Dreamcast (which Capcom was committed to supporting).
SBX: Basically, a quick and easy cash-in on a decently popular license, on Capcom’s part (with work outsourced to ASW). Probably was specifically crafted for the System 256, because of the notion that the board is among the cheapest out there, as well as the ease of porting it to the PS2 (which ASW and Capcom both saw as viable enough of a platform to support).
And that’s just looking at it from the broadest sense. But for all sakes and purposes, you could go on to say that, due to the things they share in common, the two games are practically “brothers from a different a mother”.
mouri is looking hot! too bad the game is borked. Oh well, I’ll play it for a bit I suppose. I hope that infinite works on everyone!
It also requires two supers and level 100 assist… so I’m not sure how deadly it may really be. Oichi is looking stronger now. “Stairmaster” 6 hit combo does a fuckload of damage for almost nothing, and her blowback spin looks especially annoying.
I can’t see that to be true. This is the exact same design flaw in HnK, just in a different form. Why would any company take an infinite that messed up one game and intentionally put it in to mess up another? I say they did over look it my self, which is probably why we got the Basara Counter… On a second note, broken games are boom, but yeah I think this was lazy…
Irrelevant.
Indeed, but still, they should have knew to check gravity at high hits… Either way I’m not bothered, I’ll still be playing the game. But it could have been avoided…
That means Arc System Works has a poor work ethic. They can’t stop screwing up other fighting games to make their own games look good.
I 'd…
Okay, so I tried this game. It feels weird. Feels like a cross between HNK with a hint of a Capcom fighter. Feels faster than HNK, and Marvel-like. A lot of times I couldn’t keep up with what was going on. I should of watched match videos before I played this game.
Somethings I noticed:
-Health regen is holy shit fast. Much more faster than HNK. So you die if you can’t do any damage like me.
-This game looks much better in person. Looks as good as AH2 IMO.
-Nobody seems to be playing this game. They shouldn’t have gotten this game, because I knew this would be the case.
49 match videos:

Remember to check my youtube play list:

B stands for Basara, K stands for Hokuto, etc.
Thanks for the vids
Thanks for the vids…too bad out of all 49 vids, only 5 different characters are used. -_-
Raoh vs Hideyoshi
make it happen, arc.
Date looks hell basic which is disappointing as he was the one character I was interested in.

I wonder if they are gonna patch this game, I hope they do. Shit is looking fucked up.
