What if its just like Sakura’s Alt 10?

I remember a couple months ago, it was mentioned in an issue of Famitsu of a ‘Shadow’. A sort of Guile alternate, I’m guessing. Maybe that’s what the sunglasses are for

Or maybe, shock horror, it could be one of the few characters who have additional flare on their gear based on certain color scheme unlocks that Nakky pointed out in one of her blogs (she brought up that about 3 characters have actual model changes based on what color you select their outfit to be).

Well, the Shadow thing was debunked…but anything can still happen(what with gloves and roses showing up at editors places and what-knot)…no more playing with us on the Charlie/Shadow thing…either put him in SSFIV or Turbo, or just stop making Guile like Charlie in terms of looks and play style(cause SFIV Guile doesn’t even come close to Charlie status).

It’s lame that it’s not an overhead. It lifts you off the ground, avoids low attacks only to have it hit low.

Imagine linking cr lp x cr mp x flashkick off an overhead. It would be a nice addition to his embarrassingly small amount of mixup options…

This is the type of risk (1 frame link)/reward that makes sense - which Guile lacks right now. 120 + 30 + 56 + 112 = 318 for a combo with two 1frame links. Hardly broken. Makes a lot of sense considering how slow the move is anyway.

Just something I thought about after I took a look at Guile’s Ultra 2 yesterday…

Dashing back doesn’t hold your charge . . . does it?

How are you going to dash cancel while “still holding B the whole time”? If you just want to FK > ultra 2 like Rog’s headbutt > ultra i can see that happening if they speed up FK recovery, but wouldn’t it be impossible to FADC after a FK and still hold a charge?

Would it work like the current charge db > FADC > ultra 1 where it saves the charge?

The guy’s got sunglasses now. I don’t understand how you don’t consider that a serious improvement. Why would CAPCOM focus on anything else regarding Guile? That was his biggest weakness in Vanilla, IMO. 'The fuck’s he need mixups, combo potential and a reliable Ultra for? Motherfucker’s got sunglasses now. Can’t have everything, lads.

Is it just me or does Guiles current Ultra (Flash Explosion) do less damage than it does now?
Either that or the final hit was finally buffed to be more climactic.

Cause I know that right now, the final hit does pitiful damage when compared to the rest of the hits… so maybe they just moved the damage around a bit?

You can’t gauge it since it’s at the end of Bison’s life so it could possibly take more. Also in reference to the sunglasses I bet it’s just one of his taunts, bet on it.

Well yeah, that’s why I mentioned maybe the final hit of the Ultra has been buffed from what it is now.

You know how when you land Guiles current ultra, it feels/looks like that final hit should do more damage?
Maybe it does now.

cr.mk needs ST animation and range

Perhaps it’s an attempt to make the ultra stronger by making the final hit more important, as you will (almost) always get that damage if you land it, but won’t necessarily get all the other hits when using the ultra as an anti-air, for example.

from what the developers have said about guile’s improvements, i’m pretty sure you can take it to the bank that guile will have a new cr.mk.

I just glad guiles 2nd ultra seems to be like dhalsim’s…aka a gtfo move.
