I’m 95% sure you’re right (the other 5% is for a video blip/speed-up). That would help explain how he can add a backfist after a sonic boom more easily now. 
Guile is really shaping up nicely. Faster charge times for booms to hold his ground better, ultra 2 which will trade and discourage jump-ins…crazy excited!
Guile on 1P is always walking to the left side of the screen, just like whatshisface in every CSI intro.

I hope guile ends up being a total beast in super. He so deserves it after getting shafted for no good reason in vanilla. Better charge time, better normals, and shades equal all that was wrong with guile besides damage output anyways. He has been my third character for a while but from what I’m hearing he may be moving up. Shades look like a fun mind fuck.

guile doesnt deserve it cos he was a beast in CE. why would you want that type of guile back? its cheap and overpowered. and thats why they need to make shades use meter so the flowchart guiles online don’t abuse it. now sonic boom will be faster charge so it will win all fireball wars. capcom wants to make guile into sagat. you might as well give him an eyepatch instead of shades becoz guile is cheap

Wow this is an awesome surprise to come back to. Not only did Guile get his normals buffed, but his booms enough so that he can clearly win fireball wars with the top now?? In my head while i worked i would think that it would be fair if they decreased charge time by 5 frames…but they actually did it by atleast that much?!?
They reduced other characters damage but he was one of the people excepted? Nicer link combo’s? Wow, with the compressed tier list it definitely seems like Guile can be top tier in the right hands, poissibly even a bad match for dudley since they are saying dudley is worse against characters who keep him out, and while Guile was exceptional at doing this even in his nerfed state, he’s now EVEN BETTER
I’m really looking forward to playing this, just need to get ready for the guys who just picked him up and are looking to abuse him

Was going to play Guile regardless, but now it doesn’t look like I’m going to be doing to spite myself. Nice. Little random, but how do you think the Ibuki match-up goes?
Gonna either be as bad as Akuma or Viper most likely.

I have a feeling Ibuki will be Viper+Akuma=bad-ass. Potential top 4 IMO. Terrifying vortex stylings with kunai + air and ground crossups. Should be fun, kind of like a gief fight, if she gets in it will hurt.
Airthrow her like you do viper when she jumps booms, don’t get knocked down :S Discourage air-kunai early on by timing it so that she lands ontop of booms, stay out of corner
Really it’s going to be a big deal depending on whether or not they made it easier for EX FK to go through projectiles, because that could really save your ass if you get knocked down
Check at ~2:28 too. It get stuffs by a dive kick, but damn that comes out fast.

Ibuki has an air throw as well and can shield herself with kunai like Gouki.

That looks like a LOT shorter backfist if one is to judge it by animation and its miles faster. This is making me think a bit about the Boxer match-up; the backfist is golden against boxer…the new one seems a bit short for that…however, thinking about boxers j.hp, new backfist looks better…
Few more weeks and we’ll know for certain
