Sagat doesn’t really have all of the same shenanigan combos anymore cuz Mr.Wiz confirmed that trades work like Super Turbo now. Both people reset from stun whether they were in the air or on the ground at the exact same time. So THEORETICALLY Sagat can’t do upper trade, f+HK to Ultra anymore. He can do upper trade and then you recover when he recovers from the trade. Nothing else. So that’ll help Guile in that matchup a good bit too. Trades are just based on the damage of the moves of the initial trade now like the old days. If you have a health lead trades will usually work in your favor unless the opponent traded with a move that did way more damage than yours.

I though all the bitching about the srk nerfes specialy the invincibility was gold i was thinkig to myself yea now you guys are going to finaly see what we have been talking about with the flashkick being ass that puts us at an advantage because even tho it sux we know how to deal with that.
also, as shit as sonic hurricane might turn out to be, you can still dash ultra it much easier than flash explosion. so in theory, with sagat having less health, less damage and having to worry about dash>sonic hurricane, maybe things are looking up for guile after all?
Off topic but hey…I’m kinda glad Supers are actually important in SSFIV. Really…everyone agree’d Supers were a nostalgic move, that really didn’t help most of the cast in SFIV. I mean, for example: Ken’s EX SRK did 250 damage, great wake-up, range, FADC to Ultra=1 EX bar. Shoryu Reppa does 400 damage=5 bars. In this case, becuase of the forum: Guile EX FK is his go-to move=200 damage at 1 EX bar. Double Somersault does 350=5 bars…and it’s it’s only real means to setup Ultra. I have to play my matches using normals to get Super.
But anyway, Super’s do almost as much as Ultra’s. It gives people an excuse to save Supers now…and it might connect to Sonic Hurricane as well.
Um…FADC costs 2 bars and there are only 4 bars. So an EX SRK>FADC costs 3 bars.

ummm… It DOES connect to Sonic Hurricane… but the SH just does 2 hits instead of 6… so there is no point… :shake:
basically, the way it’s going to work is… if you want a juggling ultra with VERY LIMITED comboable options, and weakass anti air properties… choose ultra 1… if you want a ultra with NO COMBOS and NO anti air properties, but good for punishing… choose ultra 2…
