I dont know how much T5 costs, but I bet it is around the same amount as CFE. There seems to be a lot more 2d players than 3d players at kicks these days

VF4 is a reason. Well okay, I won’t count that, but will T5 really give a reason for more 3D players to show up at Kicks? I mean it has been said many times that once this comes out on console the scene will leave, but I mean since Tilt already has it that the scene will be split. CFE would have been cool cause you can’t go anywhere to play that on an arcade cabinent. Oh well though, what is done is done. Kicks had their reasons to get what they did, I’m just glad they are at least getting new games.

It’s not that I’m not gonna be able to play the game at all. But it’s the whole authnecticity that i’m talking about. That “arcade” feeling. thats half the reason why evo did as shitty as it did IMO. Whatever though…If kicks doesn’t want to get it than it’s not gonna thrive in our area. Nonetheless it still bothers me that we don’t get it.
Considering how A) people actually play T5 and B) Kick’s is hella close to everybody, yes.

Mickey D: I hate to say it, but console tournies are the future of fighting games here in the US, whether we want to accept it or not. Personally, I think Capcom tournies should’ve made the switch a long time ago, 'cause it would’ve made the transition a lot easier. It sucks, but there ain’t much we can do about it.

I still get that feeling of excitement every time i go to the arcade just cuz i rarely go…it’s a tight feeling. And when console tourny’s become…no one will go and fighting games will die :tup:!
Hey Mickey, after moving to the EC I realized something. That something is the there are about 6 places that have arcades. LA has FFA, NorCal has SVGL, NYC has CTF, NJ has The Break, Chicago has Nickel City or whatever they have, and Seattle has Kicks. I’m not showing you part of a list, that pretty much is THE list. Just about everywhere has already switched to consoles, because there is nothing else.

Mandel-I take offense to that. I will only be jacking off pre-teens and young boys, thus embracing my Catholic roots.
Considering how CFE is, for the time being, the last Capcom fighting game, Street Fighter is effectively dead already.
Consoles are already becoming the standard. People can bitch and moan over Evo switching to console all they want, but tons of people still went this year, and even more will go next year.
Fighting games will die? No, just Capcom games will die if people don’t make the switch. 3d fighter tournies have been on consoles for years, and the Guilty Gear scene is all console based and growing.
I also miss the feel of the arcade experience, but it’s no longer an issue of whether consoles are better. Now, it’s a question of which format is going to survive and attract new competition.
Wow, everyone calm the fuck down. 
I hate the idea of games going to consoles just as much as other people, but it might actually go that way. Arcades just weren’t what they used to be. Kicks made their decision on what game to get and no one should be mad at anyone for their decisions. Like I have been saying, we’re lucky to even get new games. All we can hope for is that T5 does really well and Kicks decides get CFE as well, or the price lowers or something.
Sui Wai is obviously being influenced by some people about CFE and that is why he returned it, we just need to show him that they were wrong. For example if we have a tournament on it and the turnout is really good, it could convince him and show him how popular it is.
It’s a long shot, but it’s a productive idea instead of just arguing about it. =/
Okay, this thread has too much Robmover, and some guy just dissed Oasis. You guys are lucky I’m not a mod anymore, or it would be so closed right now.
That’s why they should all stop, but the thread should stay open. This thread is intended to share opinions/strats/ask questions/etc. So if people want to argue more about concole/arcade or whatever take it to another thread or create a new one about it.
