What does Rose have that puts her in the top? Dont get me wrong, anytime Rose is up there it is good news. Her defense isnt really that good, and with the Darkstalkers running around, it would seem she gets pinned into a corner pretty easily. I can see how she would keep a lot of the chars out/rushed down, but I dont see how she would handle the Darkstalkers…
Anyone with a good AA super(and good ways of building that meter), and good normals can beat any DS char(shy of Jedah, you need to pray he doesn’t entirely know what he’s doing).
I’m kinda mad that Anakaris got toned down enough to end up in the mid tier, but since SF2 chars RULE the upper crust of the game…
mukuro is good. thing is he deals small damage and takes it like a child molester in prison…
youve really got to work hard against ryu, especially with his great fb trap (dp damage is crazy on muk) and his hit you no matter what spinning kick (ouch damage wise again).
i havent seen jedah breaking the game, hes easy to master and win with though. just find ways to hit him with sf2 characters (bison is prolly good, or ryu) and you can beat him imo.

So, how is Ingrid?
she’s good. great range of moves.
j.HP has an awesome hit box, crosses up easy and lasts for a long time in the air (sorta reminds me a little of zantetsu’s j.B in last blade).
her f.MK is ok, telegraphs a little, comes out a little slow and leaves you prone when blocked.
df+MK is sorta like rose’s df+MK though slides further (like 60%+ of a full screen) and has good recovery.
her fb is not useless but it’s nowhere near as good as it was in the loke versions. it’s slow and either falls too much or stops too high to be a really effective postioning attack. really hard to try and get ppl to land on it ive found.
her super is good (the level one) though the range is short (maybe a quarter of a screen) which is easy to forget wasting it. it has sorta weird explosive properties, e.g i shot one out, yun jumped over me and i c.LKed him and somehow the hit pushed him into the super causing him to be hit by the full blast
j.LK is great for out prioritizing and has a hit box that arcs forever.
c.LP and LK’s are fast, good spamming defence.
the qcf+K move now combos (the light version anyways) easy combo is c.LKx2(3)->qcf+LK.
c.HK is good (similar to rose again, fast but a very thin hit box angled down) thing is the range on it seems just a bit shorter than id like it to be. not quite as long as rose’s though id say it’s faster.
her damage is ok, as is ability to take it. her wake up roll is a godsend, better than the sfa characters one (much less chance of getting hunted out of it) and everytime i play any other system character i find myself trying to ingrid wake up roll my way out of knockdown

I played lots of Ingrid tonight for my first crack at the game. Since the arcade from where I live is pretty far, can someone try some stuff out for me with her?
I’m thinking that her jab fireball has it’s uses in wakeup games. Like throw a jab fireball so that way they’ll get up into it and have to block it. I’m asking cause I’m not sure whether the fireball will stay out long enough so they’ll be forced to block on wakeup. I just thought of this on the drive home so if you play Ingrid, please try this yesh?
It will be cool if this works since she has an overhead and she can combo her Level 2 “Ballet Dance” super or whatever you may want to call it after a couple crouching shorts. She can just keep attacking and applying pressure while they are stuck in the fireball’s block stun.
Also is it me or does her QCF + K move really suck? And another thing to try out is if she can combo standing strong into Level 2 “Ballet Dance” super from max standing strong range since that move in cancelable. Thanks! :tup:
I haven’t heard the BG music, is Ingrid’s music anything like Roll’s in MvC? I was actually listening to that in my car today, I have about 130 Capcom themes in one directory on my mp3 CD, Roll’s came on and I thought, “Roll has the best music ever.”

I love Roll’s theme in MvC.
ryu seems to be coming a staple… i dont know how he fares against jedah or demitri but hes pretty good against st, sf3 and alpha characters. something like 30-40% of teams seemed to have him over the last couple of days ive been in. hes easy to get damage with, does big damage, has long and short options and some good strats to force mistakes from the opponent.
I also love Roll’s theme in MVC1. I even went out of my way to get the full song with the girl singing it. :bgrin: :tup:
Ingrid’s theme is a jpop song sung by her(in game storyline whatever) or by some famous japanese pop singer. You can hear the vocals in her bg btws.
