raipd jabs beat blanka’s far game and c.lk rapid fire beat his slides…

blanka was never an issue for me with cammy, even when i started using her about three weeksa go.

Most I’m doing right now is psychic dp or mash jab against ball scrubs. Not much, but Blanka taking extra damage makes the dps hurt extra good.

Been playing more with her and am doing well. After cannon drill, the knuckle is great vs. shoto scrubs that like to try and c.hk afterwards. I LOVE the knuckle’s invincibility. The more I play her, the more I can see why Tokido said cannon spike shouldn’t be safe.

On bigger characters you should be able to do c.mp, s.fp xx hk canon drill, use lk drill if blocked. On everyone c.mp x2 xx canon drill should work. Also after a backfist you can usually c.mk xx lk drill for safe follow up etc. Im lazy to post more stuff lol

As a ST noob, what are cammy’s good pokes, cr mk? cr hk?

I’ve been using standing HP too. How do I grab someone with the hooligan? I always end up doing the sweep.

I just need to be spoon fed what pokes are the best and like a couple general combos and then with practice I can figure it out from there.

Pigtails and Monster have surprisingly become my favorites.

for meaties, use s.MP or s.FP

…to grab someone with the hooligan, do the motion, then press f+K when your spin is on top of their head. i suggest using MP or FP hooligans; the LP version arcs too high most of the time, not reaching their head.

Yeah me too, I do d. mk all the time. I have lots of things to mess with in training mode tomorrow.

Is there anyway to combo in her super? What is her great jumping poke? MP?

yes, her great jumping poke is MP, albeit it’s slightly nerfed to not hit slides (DAMN!); Sirlin messed around with her hitbox.

Can someone link to somewhere that goes over the various matchups and what to do vs blocked this and that, or what to do as far as interupting stuff, because as much fun as it is to figure out stuff on your own, it might be easier to learn by reading more than random bits and peices posted here. Linking to info from normal ST is fine. Even some ST match vids of good cammy players would be great. Also maybe some basic BnBs and what is the best combo to do after whiffs as well as blocked moves, what moves set her up for crossups, stuff like that. I haven’t played vs too many cammys, and that’s how I figured out some of the stuff about the other characters.

Go to my youtube and watch Cammy vs Guile there. Every single way in you have on guile gets you a knockdown, and after you have that, he has to guess right to stop you from parading on his face. Yes it can be hard to get in, but once you are there it can be just as hard for him to get you off.

i’m not sure if this is a new combo or not, but you can do c.lk c.lk s.lk lk cannondrill/thrust kick

It is. If you’re expecting a sonic boom, try to be across screen…your options open up.

This might have been a fluke, but I was able to super through lightning legs/hand slaps last night.

no, that’s very possible; you did it after they started doing it, right? invincibility frames, son! that’s what supers are for!:woot:

Yep, I was hoping it wasn’t a fluke. Obviously seen the goodness of invincibility frames…at least through fireballs. Glad to know they work in other instances.

I’m slowly picking apart that Guile matchup. Just had a pretty decent session offline with a coworker who plays an above average Guile. I won like 20-2 or something. You really have to get inside their head and know when to Hooligan over booms and when it’s safe to go for the meaty mp.
