double post, sorry
Do i have to sign up to see that?
you don’t need to.
TPLOTPLO>he says he is going to do the aeration for the ps3 soon.
same with the screws, somebody on that board offered to do another metal panel plate so he could screw from the botom/outside. (so he’s gonna change it)
I was worried about the screen lag too… does anybody know what’s the original vewlix screen ? and it’s lag ?
Kabal: as requested a quick pic of AutoCAD designed Arcade Cabinet.
The design is not finished yet, but I thought you might want a sneak peek.
I am thinking about selling it as a flatpack like furniture from Ikea
Including a Samsung 1920x1080p LCD Screen and full control panel interfaced to either Xbox 360 or PS3
Designing a Steering Wheel atachment and fold down pedals also…

No sure who you are speaking about, but if he is gonna get me my dimensions, I like him :lovin:
Double post:
It came to this:

Nevermind on dimensions, the link on the site finally worked for me.
OH GOD, you’re actually thinking of selling these like IKEA flatpacks? If so, I’d be sooooo interested! :woot::lovin::wgrin:
KING, Im currently getting quotes to supply the metal parts as a kit, including bolts etc.
New version of drawing with Samsung 32" 1920x1080p LCD inserted.
Control panel / PCB interface to consol / buttons / joystick / speakers etc (would depend on client).
The Logitech G25 Racing Wheel attachment is going to kick ass.
Initially Australia only, due to transport cost.

is there a thread about modifying arcade cabinets? I have tried the search function 15 times today and the shit just keeps kicking me to a white page. I am going to buy an old arcade cab, gut it and turn it into a mame cab, I have no idea what kind of monitor I should be putting in it or whats a good size. If some one knows of a thread with this info please point me to it. I hate the damn search function here.
sorry for posting this here, but i figured it was the closest to the subject so I wouldn’t get ripped into for it.
:shake::sad::shake:
Hey, shoot me a parts list and I can source the stuff here in the US. There are metal fab shops all over the place here…
:lovin::woot::lovin:
How about NZ?
Wouldn’t mind splitting shipping with you on one, esker
It might be possible to ship to other countries without a TV Screen to save on weight.
(Not supplying the side/front/back panels would also save metal/cutting/shipping cost)
I simply want to get a few out the door before complicating things with International orders.
NZ you would definitly be the first cab off the rank, I would use ebay to start with to cement buyer confidence/feedback.
The aim of this kit is to provide a multifunction unit that is primarily a Gold Class Arcade Cabinet,
that can easily transform mode into being a Racing Simulator / Computer Workstation / Digital TV,
that accepts pc and every game console.
Tell you what then, if you made the primary support and frame out of aluminum, you’d minimize the weight, and as I said, if you shoot me a parts list, I can work out getting the rest of the parts milled here in the US, then all you have to deal with is the frame, and aluminum should be PLENTY sturdy for this application. Actually - if you have anyone there that can do titanium, that stuff is light as all get out, but depending on the source it gets expensive. Aluminum is probably the gest bet.
Thanks!
why is it called “candy”
