Canadians are put on wait

Let’s effin hope that this is right.

Got a copy at Microplay as well (Guelph, ON), but it was the last 360 one in stock.

The Gamerama in toronto has about 3-4 left for the xbox 360

I’m from Canada and I pre-ordered online through EB games because I wanted the art book and it arrived on June 30th as scheduled.

Yeah, people who pre-ordered online got their BBs without a hitch. It’s the in-store pre-orders that are being screwed over right now.

They’re going to have a riot on their hands if everyone doesn’t get what they paid for.

It’s like BlazBlue doesn’t want to be anywhere except the USA and Japan.
Sucks for you guys, and it sucks for Europeans.

"some random statistic (on NeoGaf) that only 800 people pre-ordered the game. In all of Canada, only 500 copies were shipped (via EB and other major retailer’s distributors.) "

I’ll know by Monday night if Carta Magica (montreal) can order for us.

I pre-ordered a copy at my local EB, but it was only about two weeks ago. I went in today to see what the deal was and the guy said he was hoping Monday (though he didn’t seem to really know what was going on).

Waiting until Monday wouldn’t be too bad, but I sure as hell don’t plan on waiting until the end of the month. I’m strongly considering finding it online somewhere, but I’m not sure what EB’s policy is on canceling pre-orders.

Hu? Carta Magica order games now ? Can you clarify this ?

I wonder how the supply and demand is in good ole’ US of A, from what I can tell, the game has virtually no advertisement. You can always cross the borders if you are desperate.

Yeah they have a small cash of games there now. I know for a fact because I live just on top of it :stuck_out_tongue:

I got my copy at Microplay at Merivale in Ottawa. There were 2-3 copies left for the 360 and none for the PS3. They were doing a raincheck for 12 copies and about 7 were spoken for when I got there.

It’s a brutal race to grab the Canadian copies right now. My friends in Toronto are reporting premium prices of 74.99 - 80.99. That’s fucking robbery.

Good luck to other BB hunters.

You can cancel, but they only give it back as a gift card. Very a-hole-ish of EB, but it’s not like it’s the last game you’re going to get from there, so it’s kind of alright. Not sure if there’s a time frame you have to respect before you can’t cancel, though.

Gentlemen, the praying floor is this way.

I pre-ordered (and fully paid for!) BB on May 15th. Hope I’m high enough on the list. >_>

What I’m worried about now is whether or not my EB pre-ordered the SE version for me or the LE one.

I’m not sure how their system works. Is it like, as long as I pre-ordered BlazBlue, the game I’m getting will be the LE on Monday no matter what, or do they specifically have SE and LE registered as two different things? Because when I pre-ordered, I didn’t know about the LE and the store clerk never asked which one I wanted so I assumed there was only one.

So I really hope that nothing screws up on my end. It would suck if I waited since May only to find out that the store clerk pre-ordered the SE without telling me there was an LE, and that is why everyone keeps telling me it’s been pushed back to the 29th. Ugh… This is CHAOS!

If there’s anyone who works at EB here, would you be able to clarify on this? ARE there two different Blazblues (SE and LE) on the EB system and you had to order the LE specifically, or do you get the LE right off the bat on Monday so as long as you pre-ordered?

EDIT

I don’t know if this helps, but my pre-order receipt for the game reads: “6168504 BLAZBLUE: CLAM PS3” - Any idea which version that is, or does it not matter?

They have all been saying they don’t know when i called them. It only says Blazblue : Calamity Trigger on their system. That’s what i’ve been hearing from all of them.

They do horrible business and they aren’t organized.

Eegh. I hadn’t preordered a video game in like a decade and I probably should’ve asked before I put down the deposit.

And yeah, the system they had in place for this game is a complete mystery. When I preordered they only had one Blazblue for each console in their computer. I asked if it was the LE and the guy said he didn’t know. Actually, he interrupted me before I could finish, probably because he had been asked that before. But if we all get screwed like Phoenix described, this’ll be the last time I buy a game from this place. For the record, my receipt has the same SKU and game name. Haha… clam.
