Canadians are put on wait

Okay good. I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one who has that written on the receipt. If everyone else had a different SKU and name on their receipt, then I’d be REALLY worried. Hopefully come Monday when the game ships in (If what the EB head office said is to be believed) we’ll find out.

honestly if they really do BS us, they should make the normal edition $49.99. Seriously i don’t see this game being worth 69.99, but with the L.E it is.

Yeah, that’s another thing. It says $69.99 on my receipt and both my friend and I who are trying to get the game agree that the price tag is a little bit much if we’re only getting BlazBlue on its own, so with that in mind, it BETTER be the LE once I get it (Whenever the hell that’s going to be…)

I feel the exact same way you do. I know my chances of getting the L.E are very slim so i’ll be OVERJOYED if i actually get it on monday/tuesday.

These people gotta be joking $69.99 for standard.

That’s the standard MSRP for PS3 games, isn’t it?

Yep…

There’s no price difference between the SE and LE, either…

Those wondering about their preorders at EBgames/Gamestop:

  • Up until yesterday there was only one SKU for preorder, and it was the LE version.
If you preordered it before yesterday, you preordered the LE.

  • Yesterday, a new SKU was added (regular version, the one that’s July 29th).
If you preordered the game yesterday or any time after, you’re preordering the regular version.

And yes you can cancel your preorder for refund. You just need to have the receipt.
If your receipt says you paid cash, you get a refund in cash.
If it says debit, you get it refunded on your debit.
Credit Card, Credit Card.
If you traded stuff in or used store credit, you get it on a gift card.
If you don’t have your receipt but show photo ID to prove you are the person that preordered it, you get it on a gift card since you can’t prove what method you paid.

what about the limited copies they have? I don’t think they have enough to give everyone on monday if it even comes on monday/tuesday.

Just picked up a copy at Microplay in Ottawa (Merivale)

I called 2440 Bank too(oops), which I won’t be picking up… if anyone is having a hard time getting one(PS3) they’ll have an extra… =)

Thanks for the tip. I have my friends in Ottawa going to pick it up. Hopefully they can send it to me here in Newfoundland where I am sure I am last on EBs ‘to do’ list.

Should have pre-ordered and gotten the Artbook =) .

Canadians get shafted a lot when it comes to new releases. In Asian countries like Japan or China, they have all the newest cellphones while we get leftovers from months or years ago. Europe gets a lot of new stuff as well. I believe it has something to do with our strict guidelines and distance. That doesn’t stop the US from getting all the luxury goods.

It will most likely be Standard Edition for the July release. I don’t think there will be hundreds of Limited Editions stocked up in every EB on release day.

$69.99 MSRP is standard pricing for most new games. It used to be $59.99, which is now the price for American stores.

I just called my EB Games again this morning and thankfully the staff seems to be more informed. They told me that the next shipment they’ll be getting is on Monday at the earliest.

I also took the time to ask them which copy I ordered and whether they have LE and SE registered on their system as separate things and like what many here have said, as long as you pre-ordered your copy, what you’re getting is the LE, not the SE. The SE comes later.

That’s a relief. Here’s hoping that Monday really will be the day we finally get our copies in.

$14.99 USD + ~$10 brokerage fee = ~$30 CDN for shipping. UPS shipping is VERY good, I got it the next day my order shipped compared to snail mail Canada Post. It’s faster from US -> Canada than Canada -> Canada, even if it’s only a few provinces away.

The game itself is $59.99 USD, which is ~$70 CDN.

In total, ~$100 CDN for BlazBlue. I think BlazBlue is definitely worth it, but I won’t deny that it is expensive to ship games from US to Canada.

I’d rather pay more in contrast to spending agonizing weeks waiting for BlazBlue. I would order from Play-Asia if you didn’t get your copy in. The Limited Edition is very good compared to SFIV (LOL MOVIE).

Just got a call from my EB games, they received their shipment.

Zivilyn, whereabouts in Ontario is your EB in?

If your shipment came, I wanna see what the likelihood is for shipments going in to other areas so I can call to see if mine has arrived as well.

They received it on a saturday? what?

I called my EB and they told me they got an e-mail telling them it was a shippment issue (like others have stated).

Well I’m being told that yes they will get it on Monday but they are only selling it to people that preordered…

Sorry,

Ottawa (Kanata)

Hmm… That’s a ways away from where I am. Mine might not be here yet. Thanks for the heads up though!
