on topic-i “ragequit” all the time in this game(always in first 5-10 seconds of match if lag is hellish)with no penalty that i can see
you guys realize that ragequitting RUINS your rank right? you lose a quarter of the bar everytime u do it. my friend was doing it and h e was like 50-0 still a fighter. Good thing i wont have to deal with them at the high ranks, because real players know better (hopefully)

back on topic, i’ve never ever ragequit a day in my life. i’m a low tier retard but i’ll rush down right into a chaotic flame if it helps me learn how to beat it even if i know i can’t win that round. because of that stubbornness, i’ve gotten so used to dealing with my own low health that sometimes i’ve literally wiped whole teams with one character left at 25% life or less. in fact it’s more exciting and it actually gets my heart pounding. when i won, i’ve had double-digits in ragequits done on me in mvc2 and more than enough in the new ass mvc3. the hate mail is…well spiced to say the least. if i lose though, for some reason people really want to teabag the living shite out of me. no fun lol.
anyway when you rage quit, you just can’t see your true potential. fighting those losing battles helps you to learn how to improvise and tighten up your defense. zoning has it’s place but if they know how to beat that tactic, running away via RQ does nothing for you. or you’ll be so busy with that salty disconnect that you won’t learn how to prevent the situation that killed you from happening in the future. losing ain’t fun, but making someone else lose with you by RQ’ing just proves you’re a loser IRL.
I hate rage quitting as much as anyone else but when the game is lagging so hard because the other person has dial up/lag switch that it makes it look like its playing underwater and the other person just tries to fight like that then I just quit because its a serious waste of time
topic: i’ve ragequit once, in ssf4, because i literally lost my composure so bad it was either that, or damage my equipment. I later apologized.
i’m lucky enough that the few times i do play online, i dont see RQ’s that much, but that could just be luck, not RQH actually functioning…actually - are you guys searching by same rank or any rank? maybe it pairs you with nearest available rank, regardless of RQ status? shrug i got nothin.
I’m certain that rage quitting effects the person’s rank. I got rage quit on by a guy who’s record was some wild shit like 2200-100 and he was only a 3rd or 4th lord. This chump “peroxcide” dropped on me 3 different times today btw lol.
