zorri tox on psn is the shittiest 1st lord ragequitter…he is 1st lord and rage quits all the time and has like 100 wins and counting…there is no punishment for rage quitting…the only punishment is that he will never be a better player
Ragequit hell is a real place we will send you to at the first sign of saltiness.
Those scenarios are understandable. If you are moving like half an inch per 2-3 seconds then I would understand quiiting, but that’s not really RQ, thats more LQ = Lag Quitting…hahahhahaaha
Edit: My bad Mkryu…I must have replied to the wrong comment. Someone said he rage quits and thinks the other person deserves it…again my bad.
lol some kid in mvc said I raged on him and hes uploading it to youtube, when I quit cuz the connection was like 20 seconds for a hadoken to get across the screen…
I don’t understand why Capcom feels the need to continually reinvent the wheel. They’ve already solved this problem twice:
MVC2: disconnect = loss. Deal with it.
Vanilla SF4: every player’s disconnect rate is displayed prior to match confirmation. If your disconnect rate is higher than 1%, thanks but no thanks.
Easily hackable, as seen by pro ragequitter spidermancanrun. Fuck you Capcom and MSFT for not taking that guy out of the rankings. I want the actually good players to get e-props.
AWESOME. Love it.
From what I read, there is a so called “hidden ranking” whereby if you rage quit, you are more likely to get put into games with those who rage quit back…
Not sure if its official though.
Speaking of ragequitting, a player named Bravarian320i raged quit on me right after I beat him before the points were given up. People can’t man up to their loss. This was on SSF4 AE.
Spidermancanrun has over 11,000 losses (compared to slightly under 17,000 wins). The anti-ragequit system is working as intended. He is ranked #3 because of an unrelated rating bug; CLouD X16 and Goji 84 have similar glitched ratings. All three of those players have horrible W/L ratios (relative to the top of the leaderboard) and are obviously bugged.
The first legitimate ranked player is #4 (im down 2 chief), and his W/L reflects that. MVC2’s anti-ragequit system really does work as advertised.
^-- Nope. I know exactly how they’re doing it.
They fixed the overflow issue: this is something else. spiderman and at least cloud are cheating bastards.
I’m not quite sure there a rage-quit hell either…
If there was one, the person would be listening to Justin Bieber music during the match.
Even if they fixed the original issue, unless/until they reset the ratings again, I think Spidermancanrun could lose all day long and it wouldn’t matter.
At the end of the day, they are getting losses. So if there is a problem with the system, it’s not that it is failing to issue a loss to ragequitters. Even if the rating system is (very minimally) broken, it’s patently obvious who is there legitimately and who is not. That’s good enough for me.
You are penalized when you rage quit. Next time you put in the game there is a message that says something like “… people that leave matches early will be penalized” So you are. I think if you do it too much you aren’t aloud to play that game mode for a while or something. So if it’s ranked matches you won’t be able to connect to anyone else to play for a while, and perhaps your rank goes up slower or something. I would know. I rage quite a few player matches and I got that message. Ranked is kind of asking for frustration anyway. I don’t generally bother with it, so no need to rage quite ranked. It might be less of an issue if they cleaned up net code. I mean after all it isn’t wii, we are paying for a good online experience, and MVC3 lag ain’t that pleasant. Who cares about a bloody network simulator in practice?
You Loss 1/2 points bar for RQ…
I don’t know what you mean by that. But if you’re referring to me yeah I rage quit a few player matches (not ranked) probably 3. If it’s not a ranked match and I really see no problem with quitting a match you know you’re going to lose anyway. I do it offline too, most of the time with a smile on my face after a failed mix up or something messing around in friendlies (casuals) with friends and much laughter after. Also if a match isn’t any fun (playing a scrub or someone who is just playing to be annoying, cheap wins and not trying to get better at the game) hey I endorse it. If it’s only going to frustrate you hell yeah rage quit. If it’s a ranked match then take the L, the winner deserves their points, otherwise if it isn’t ranked who cares? It’s not something everyone does anyway. No one has ever rage quit against me. So I think it’s pretty rare.
Im telling you that if someone RQ it just loss Half of the Rank Bar to Lvl Up. Ad gets paried with some other RQ players… I dont want to know about your life. Of if you RQ’d.
Here we go with the caricature representations of people’s comments… I really have no life if what I said is all there is to my life. Thanks for the clarification.
Lenaire, you need to learn how to read. Jano told you the consequences of rage-quitting, nothing else.
the 1/2 bar explains the magical 313/1 5th lord I played earlier today…
just wanted to clear up this misinformation, you are penalized for pulling your cord/shutting off the ps3/etc. but there are also ways to pause the connection and incur no penalty or loss, as if the match never happened.
