I watched it without trying to think about your attitude, as a new Cammy player. Well, the verdict is: easy-mode play. You didn’t do ONE link. Not even the attaiable 2-frame one from C HP to C MK. When your jabs/shorts hitted you just mashed them out and went into offense again, instead of linking a special. This is average at best, even I do better after one minth of Cammy play.
Kudos for your good execution on the FADC combos, but really, that’s basic training stuff anyone can do. Get your links in so that you can finish attacks on hitconfirm.
And is a sweep the best Ryu can do after blocking spike? I guess it’s a good knockdown, but he ever followed through on it well.

If you are as great as you say you are, you should have destroyed that Ryu imo. Uploading sandbagged matches and asking for our opinions is like requesting the entire forum to punish a whiffed Shoryu as hard as they can. Some people will throw, others will combo the shit out of you.

If you have meter to burn and Ultras to use, the best punish is walk up, Low Forward into EX Fireball FADC with a forward Dash into Ultra. I’ve done that to OTHER Cammy’s I’ve played.
Otherwise, I think low Forward into EX Fireball or Low Forward into Roundhouse Hurricane Kick is the best punishment. You have to be totally ready for it as Ryu to react quickly enough (basically be holding Towards on the stick before your Block Stun ends), but Cammy lands with a LOT more delay than most people think. I get away with a LOT of blocked Cannon Spikes because Ryu players just walk up and sweep me. I know they can do a lot worse to me.

oh yea james a blocked CS is trouble your oppent has a lot of time to thing about what he wants to do. Most of the ryus i play do the sweep for safety reasons. But solshido will catch me with a quick focus that double forward punch thingy. cr.HEavy shoryuken haha.

You had some cool mixups. I liked that Focus attack, jump over, low short, throw thing you did. When I saw it I thought the ken was going to mash SRK for sure haha.
There was 1 thing I saw that I would suggest you do. Cannon Spike more. The Ken did a lot of random tatsu and quite a bit of jumping. I know the standing fierce works pretty well as an anti air, but I firmly believe Cspike is the best anti air Cammy has. Heck if you can get a super late Spiral Arrow to be an anti air counter that would be even better.
ooooo actually let me talk about the anti-air arrow for a bit. If you do lk arrow, you hit them out of the air, but it’s not a knockdown. You also land right in front of him. Most people think it’s a knock down, but it isn’t at least what I remember. If you do mk arrow, same thing; BUT you land behind them, free crossup. I’m going to make a video of this sometime today.
Other than that good stuff. You’ve got a strong Cammy.
Good stuff, Olympian! The cl.s.HP tip against shoto jump-ins is a really good one - I’m working on training myself to do it in reaction to j.MK crossups and the like.
I don’t have much to add after Ixion and Stein’s very thorough posts, but props on landing the j.LK crossup on a not-huge char like Ken. And yea, I’ve been liking high LK dive kick against shotos for a while - I just love seeing their SRKs whiff completely, lol.

c.HP to punish tatsu… i just couldnt get it out in time… unlike ryu… with ken you can tag him on his recovery with c.mk into SA as punishment (if he’s doing regular tatsu)…

I NEVER USED AIR THROW! WTH… i just noticed that now… it beats air tatsu… and jumping back air throw beats crossup…!!
