I’m not disagreeing with you (i wouldn’t consider myself good enough with Cammy to be able to judge) but what Cammy players do you think are good?
I suppose ‘who will do well in tournaments with Cammy?’ is what i’m asking everyone. I know Alioune and Kindevu (if he sticks to her) will but is there anyone else?
But Daigo played the number 1 Cammy and beat him 12-3, that obviously makes the matchup 7.5-2.5 in Ryu’s favour. Numbers wouldn’t lie!
yes unknown. i’ve been here since Super times with 700+ posts and contributions + vids to back it up. who are you unknown with 10 posts made the account just yesterday and came here talking matchups with no record or video of:
2 high level experts. playing in along set.Cammy Vs Ryu.
Alioune has been blowing up the best ryus in erupoe since super times ask Ryan Hart Sensei <3 (who by the by beat diago on many occasions)
show us your scrubby cammy losing to ryu and i will tell you to to step up your shit, learn the matchup and will point out your weaknesses. :nono: at least if you were OG member i will give you some credibility.
Sako vs Daigo in super was pretty much this, even the cammy players around were making fun of it:
So, Alioune beating best european Ryu means a lot and Daigo beating n°1 Cammy in Japan means nothing, is that right?
This Cammy beat Kazunoko 7 to 1, sorry, but i don’t think even Alioune could do that from what I saw of Kazunoko’s results, he just blows everybody up besides Daigo there. Ryan beating Daigo in tourney means anything, just two matchs, thats it, Clakey D have beaten Sako in a mirror in tournament too. Who cares? Put them to play long sets and you see what happen.
I saw some of your videos, and sorry, but they don’t back you up, anyone who can do combos looks decent against bad players, doing dive kicks all high in the head and people still letting you go with you’re pressure, wtf =S
If you have some against a good and well known player and you’re doing work against him then you can talk, if not, you’re an unknown just like me, doesn’t matter if you’re here since ever or since yesterday.
Hmm, I don’t have any problems with Ryu, but if you could tell me what works against Balrog would be good, but what works against good ones, not like this one on your video that cant even crouch and press some button to escape hooligan on wakeup.
lol that vid was like 1 year ago. when i started playing. watch them AE matches.
EDIT: you basically repeated what i said. bring 2 high level let them play in a looooooong set. and let us see. personally the matchup in super was 6.5… AND in AE. wont comment for now because its too early.
EDIT2: and dont forget about your inability to beat “good” akuma zomg horrible matchup cammy is free on wakeup and u1 is useless against u2 akuma. cry and here im waiting for teyah to prove you right with some status of 1 set #1 “japanese”=high level ranked Cammy vs Tokido.
Can someone explain to me what tournament viability means? J Wong and Ricky returned to Rufus after failed attempts at tier whoring in AE, Dieminion, F Champ and PR Rog all struck to their characters after their nerfs in AE, the characters they played certainly are nowhere near top tier in AE so does it mean they aren’t tournament viable? Yet they still won tourneys or got impressive results with them.
Oh yeah, trust me, Akuma ultra 2 is annoying as hell for Cammy, I don’t know about other people, but my Cammy doesn’t work very well with almost no okizeme, but the player is really good, he’s is probably the best player in my country today, so I have no problem saying that I have a hard time against him. And I didn’t say it’s that horrible, I still think it’s worse than Balrog, but no like Fei matchup in AE, that’s what I call horrible.
You probably never played that match, but I can’t blame you, even though Akuma is so good it’s hard to find someone who is actually good with him to play, and he’s not “good”, he’s good, but obviously not top world class good.
To me, it means ease of use vs bad match up. Easier it is to use, the lesser bad match up there is, the better. Team China definitely fits in this category in AE.
wow this is shocking. You’re really calling players like nike and odin, shit and garbage? and your only credibility is 700+ posts and videos? Videos i might add against total noobs who are clearly - if i can put it in your words - shit and garbage. Do you think these players you’re beating are actually better than nike and odin?
Listen i have nothing against you, but your attitude for someone who claims team NAH is beyond belief. Odin who you claim is garbage qualified for SBO. Do you know how hard that is? He had to win his area finals, then play and beat the winners of the next area finals. Also, top players from other areas enter the qualifiers because a spot in SBO is one of the most difficult things to get. Something a garbage player can not even dream of achieving.
An unknown who’s not even known in their local scene, though entitled to their opinion, shouldnt be calling competitive players garbage and acting like they’re any better.
He’s just some of this guys that thinks if he do better combos he’s automatically a better player, sure it’s good if you get the max damage per opportunity, but there is WAY, WAY more than it on being a good player.
Sorry, but XBL rankings mean absolutely nothing so it doesn’t matter what rank Cammy you are on there if you’re just beating up scrubs to grind out 20k+ BP. Seems like the only thing XBL is good for is to build your confidence and make you think Cammy is everyone’s worst matchup.
Arcade rankings DO matter, as those are played against the highest level of competition anywhere in the world (Japanese arcades). If you don’t think Japanese arcades are the highest level of play then well, you just lack the common sense that would dictate that the highest concentration of strong players would be the strongest, and therefore most relevant region to discuss when talking about matchups, tiers, or anything SF4 related.
If you don’t routinely play against the very top level of play, which tiers and matchup rankings are supposed to represent, IMO you have no business making a serious tier list or matchup chart. Especially if you only play online, which is an entirely different game than offline.
Japanese master and grand master level players assembled an AE matchup chart that was essentially peer-reviewed, which listed Ryu-Cammy as advantage to Ryu, from both Cammy and Ryu perspectives, I’m more inclined to agree with these players than with Europe-only, online-only players in this thread.
i was specifically talking about Nike on xbl who doesnt represent any sort of high level cammy play. he’s average cammy. good but not cammy expert. not anywhere close.
lets see our hailed #1 ARCADE ranked Cammy who qualified to SBO?

now whos the jumping monkey striking at THE PEAK??? using head hitting regular strike???
jump hk followed by jump strike then jump ex strike then jump lk.
just count the number of random jumps.! shit unspaced arrow. full jump ins. 0 ground game. even his ex strikes are high. yeah mash that dp #1 AE ranked cammy.
if you think this is high level then you are shit too. when ryan hart was in the japanese arcades he reported something like that alot of players avoid playing daigo and co and basically leave their stations. because they dont want to risk lose their earned points. who knows maybe this shitty cammy play was grinding on them arcade averages.
i know this guy … hez from our scene … hez from Dubai …
he has never attended 1 single local tourny here … never attends our local weekly FGC gatherings …
and yet claims to be high level player … i cant see howz that possible when you’ve never played against the top players in your local scene community!
posting videos against some scrubby online laggy players means absolutely nothing !! prove it offline and show up plz!
LOL exposed. I like how he ignored and is acting like qualifying for SBO is something that can be achieved by low level or average players. i also like how he calls people random when no one knows or has ever heard of him. believe me he hides his xbox gamertag in all his matches for a reason. where ever you are … keep hiding.
As for cammy vs ryu. 2012 is still very new. I havent had a chance to play it yet over the christmas & new year period. All i know is a lot of good players have started using these 2 characters again. I’m sure we will get an idea very soon of how that match up goes
