a video would be great. please post it if possible I still need to learn a lot
my 2nd (who also was my 1st but she got fired) is Chun-li. with her I usually only perform her ultra and hyakuretsu kyaku. for the rest it’s just poking around and throwing out random punches/ kicks. doesn’t really require you to move crazy moves like the Cammy one (except if you want to link Chuns Ex SPK/Hyakuretsukyaku to her ultra, which is also hard)
Right now I alt as Ken, and I like to do both flowchart and non. He’s pretty good when it comes to fighting boxer and Honda though…

Honda gets owned by projectile characters very easily. Any of the Shotos will make short work of him. For a bit of fun I recommend Dhalsim. I picked him for an online game yesterday and destroyed a Honda and a Zangief.
Boxer is a bit tougher as he has an answer to pretty much everything. Boxer is my alternate and I defeat Kens easily. The only Shoto I struggle with is Ryu who is top tier for a reason. Zangiefs are a pain too. Sagat is not too tricky.
Cammy is still my main though and I use most of the time.
Um, total beginner question, I know that doing [learning] a FADC is a pretty mandantory tactic for Cammy’s rushdown style of play. Now I know the command to do it (MP + MK [hold] >> [release] MP+ MK), but I’m really not entirely sure how to do this after a special with Cammy. When should I start the sequence for this to work correctly ?
EDIT:
One more thing, does Cammy have a kara throw ?
I think i’ll stick with Ken. Maybe even go with Dhalsim.
Sorry guys about the video. It’s a lot harder to record my hands without a tripod. I tried holding my camera with my teeth… did not work too well. My little sister is in the hospital, so everyone’s there atm. I’ll try to get someone else to record me this week.
That motion actually works? I never knew.
I usually do it manually :dp::r:, hk, immediately mp+mk, :l::l: / :r::r:
That’s why I always have problem FADC to do her ultra or canon spike, it’s just too fast for me
I didn’t really know where to ask this, and I didn’t want to make a new post so I’ll put it here:
Anyone on the PSN wanna help me train? I seriously gotta learn to get out of this flow chart crap… sucking so badly is pissing me off, sometimes I just want to throw my fight stick at my TV lol.
hahaha, you’re not alone there. When my ex main (Chun-li) become to hard for me to use I wanted to throw my stick too lol
I still do sometimes, when I play with Cammy and both the opponent and me have really low health and I loose because of a sweep or a low punch or so. Being just THAT close to beating him/her gets on my nerves sometimes.
Ditto here on Cammy being stressful to play. The problem with Cammy is that to just be competitive with her, you have to have constantly good execution and think all the time for your mixups. In contrast, a typical shoto doesn’t need the same amount of mental effort to win.
This is almost fine with me, but the glaring difference between Cammy and the latter is that one botched execution for cammy almost always means big punishment as she has to pull her tricks near the opponent.
Guess I’m frustrated. I feel sometimes that the game doesn’t reward aggressive play and risk taking compared to the fighters I’m used to. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing of course, but unless I take another main aside from Cammy…I think I’ll keep on being frustrated more often than not.
Guys, is there an easy way to do her instant dive kick? Rather than press jump and then doing it? I’ve seen people do it inches from the ground, there must be a trick. I head it’s something to do with a tiger knee motion.
How in blazes are you getting this to work? i dont see how its logically possible. if this works, theoretically, if you did F, D, DF, MP+MK - a Cspike would come out? But when i do the whole inputs that was stated, i just get a normal FA and when i dash… it just dashes out… lol?
it didn’t work for me either >,< after the dp motion she just did a fa and then dashed forward or sometimes dashes and then fa if I try to do it too quick.
so I tried doing it manually again, the CS FADC CS kinda work but in the corner I often CS and the opponent falls behind me ^^;;; so I don’t actually hit.
Oh so it wasn’t my fault then I guess the dash makes me miss the opponent. I’ll have to do more practice with her, I’m currently practicing Chun-Li again and after that Cammy
