It’s not a real win if you did it on a pad.
The pad made you win.
It’s not a real win if you did it on a pad.
The pad made you win.
O_O
You’re all in denial.
Good question because cammy is easy to use and cheap ass hell she has the smallest weirdest hit box her speed is godlike her dp makes me sick in that flip ex grab thing needs to get nerf fuck cammy
You sure you aren’t talking about guy?
EX Hooligan is free. Just cr. jab that thing when she uses it.
I thought we did?
Well isn’t it obvious? It’s because people want to make you sad. There’s a fair amount of egoism involved in believing that people hate your character just to piss you off, or that it’s all about you, specifically. More sensible to recognize that people are complaining about game design; but you get salty because you think it diminishes you as a player – like claiming you’re a boxer fighting with weighted gloves. (But hey, if the shoe fits). It’s simple logic that if you select a character considered by many to be among the strongest in the game, you’re going to get less respect for your wins. You get the wins or you get the props, but not both. I remember how often the vanilla Sagat players said: “quit whining and learn the matchup.” Right, dude. Right.
Why is there so much Cammy hatred? It’s the same reason there’s hatred against any top tier character: because the opposition asks “why should they get an unfair advantage just because they prefer using a certain character?” Because after playing hundreds or thousands of matches, people can differentiate between losing to a character vs. losing to an opponent. Because there are obvious differences between the different levels of offensive pressure any character can apply, and how often, and how easily, and how effectively. So people make the obvious observation: “Gee, when I play against the vast majority of characters, I’m not constantly under unbelievable amounts of pressure and confusing, lightning fast mixups. Things seem more even. Their strengths seem well balanced against their weaknesses,” as opposed to when they play top tier characters. Because people tend to notice when your character not only hits like a mack truck, but has fast walk speed, great dashes, has excellent anti-air, relatively easy combos, multiple ways to land an ultra, builds meter quickly, etc. Because people respect the opinion of top players like Daigo and Alioune who say she’s tops in the game. Because people grow frustrated when Capcom makes characters who seem qualitatively different than the rest (Akuma, Seth, van. Sagat, Yun, Yang, Fei, etc) and essentially helps picks winners and losers. If Dan or Hakan players have a right to gripe, then others along the spectrum of best to worst characters do as well. Now, the Cammy hatred that DOES involve those who use her, involves a bias away from acknowleding any advantages she might have and essentially claiming that they’d be just as effective with any other character; after all, it really wasn’t about the character, but about their oodles of talent, right? While clearly many Cammy players are talented, claiming that their win percentages would be the same no matter who they picked is more than other players are willing to quietly tolerate (for the reasons listed above). I hope this clears things up for you, even though I’m guessing your question was largely rhetorical (or more accurately, a gripe / rallying of the choir in the form of a question).
Pick whatever character that gives you the best chance of winning and let the emasculated men complain like little pussies.
People hate my main who is pretty much the exact opposite of Cammy using Cammy as secondary now. He has low damage, great footsies but limited mixups, two shitty ultras, situational/unreliable AA. Yet I get complaints all the time.
My suggestion is feed on their tears, trust me they are delicious.
As long as there are substantial imbalances, people have a justifiable right to complain.
This makes a lot of sense because no matter how broken or amazing cammy is i have never seen one win a tourney besides brad winning seasons beatings.
Then you probabelly should watch/ go to more tourneys.
Cammy won: SB (k brad); Toryuken, MAT IX, T13 - all chi Rhitty; SF 25th ann. Brazil tourney - Breno; French cup - Alioune (3 days ago).
Let’s see, 6 tournaments are good enough for you ? ( and keep your fingers crossed, cause I have a feeling Alioune might win another one this weekend)
And let’s not forget Banbaban getting 2nd at SS, or Xiaohai 4th at Evo.
Should I list all the times Akuma has won a tourny? Maybe Justin Wong? God if you hate Cammy so much do something about it, fucking learn the matchup.
Edit: Just read your tier list. I’m aware its a collaboration of peoples ideas but why is Cammy a 4-6 matchup in Onis favor?
That can’t be right…swap those numbers around tbh.
The only reason personally that I wouldn’t consider it a 7-3 in Cammy’s favor is that he does have good AA and damage if he ever gets anything going.
Chill out, pal.
I only responded to the guy who didn’t know how many tournaments cammy won. And, btw, the “learn the match up” is already old. the same thing were saying yun players in AE.
Cammy-oni is 4-6 because 2 oni players called it this way. They also made arguments.
If you legit believe Cammy at the moment is = to AE Yun then you have some things to work on.
I only compared what you say with what Yun players used to say. Not cammy with ae yun.
Boy, judging by all the comments in this thread you guys would hate going up against my Cammy/Ibuki team in SFxT.
Eh, they’re not the same characters really. What makes characters strong in SF4 is different than what makes them strong in SFxT.
