Hey peoples - quick question: what in the world is Cammy saying during Hooligan?

I really think her cr.mk needs to be buffed so that it hits up to her foot now, considering that Ryu got a buff to that effect.

Haven’t got much time 2 play unfortunately the Beta didn’t open until 3am where I was and well fuck that. Played for like 10 mins this morning just in training. Will say her CC combo is very nice. She doesn’t seem much different 2 me overall.

I agree with this d3v. It feels kinda stupid when I use it hits visually but I don’t get anything

M Dp is also a good anti-air and L goes straight up.

Yes this was allready annoying as f*** in SFIV. Perfect aimed with he foot and no hitbox…

Still my luck,nobody can play footsies. All Ryus just humanilate their cr.mk, throw unsafe Hadoken or jump like Rabbits. And this was the Top 300 Ryu I meet. I only had ~20 fights and the only good one was a Nash. He actually pressured me and blocked.

I actually had a lot of trouble vs downbacking players. Played a ryu who would just s.mk and cr.mp xx fireball (that seems to be a true blockstring) and jab his way out of pressure. Couldn’t do shit.

Why is this a problem? You have walkspeed and better pokes,use them.
Walk in and out to make him whiff cr.mk/st.mk and then whiffpunish, it’s not that hard.
And if he is able to escape pressure with Jabs,you did something wrong.
You can also fish good with cr.hp, they should make this move 2f faster now that the CC on it is gone.

The bolded bit may no longer be the case against Ryu.

I had few matches as well on late time before maintenance,not really doing well against those who play turtle like ryu,necalli, still a noob here lol ><, plus with alot of rollback, only the last few matches is ok,which is mirror matches, with same cammy player lol

her cr.mk and st.mk still outrange ryus low forward, and she has superior walk speed

Just got the beta, and i have a question im trying to link cammys cr. medium punch but it doesnt seem to be working. Im sure i have seen this in some combo videos for example i have seen the combo cr. l kick cr. light punch cr. medium punch into drill. Everything i try the cr. medium punch is getting blocked, is it just me being awful at execution and timing or did they really remove this in the latest beta? If so has anyone got some nice bnb combos to try out after say a cannon strike or a jump in etc?

U can’t combo lights into mediums anymore with cammy. Do crmp, crmp, drill.

After a jHp do stMp, sHp, drill

Is this just for Cammy or all characters in sf5? So what would you say is the best combo to do then after you hit a cannon strike or the best combo for crouching opponents? just two cr. m punches into drill?

Take one thing into acc d3v, we have the same situation like in SFIV. He will do the cr.mk, you know it’s coming, you know he only knows this Button and HP for his Fireball.
Now Cammy can just troll around at the maxrange of the move,her cr.mk has still more range,her cr.hp has still more range and her st.mk has still more range. Keep him at this point and just kick his ugly face every time he trys to poke you.

Cammy can combo cr.lp into her Target Combo (TC) and follow up with H DP for a nice ~210 damage combo.
And no noone can combo lights into mediums in SFV. Comboing after Can-of-Sprite (haha) is also not that easy. Going for jab,jab xx Arrow might be the best option.
If you hit a counterhit Divekick, go for st.mp,st.hp xx Arrow.

If you need some Combos here are mine:

Meterles:

cr.mp->cr.mp xx HK Drill Main BnB

st.mp ->st.hp xx HK Drill Main punish

st.mp->cr.mk xx HK Drill good if the opponent is further away.

cr.lp -> back+mp->st.hk xx HK DP Troll Combo, fun to use

CH cr.mp->st.mp->cr.mk xx HK Drill good counterhit Combo.

CC st.hk -> f+hk -> cr.mp xx HK Drill Good if you block a DP

V-Trigger stocked:

st.hp xx V-Trigger cancel -> st.mp -> st.hp xx HK Drill -> HK DP solid punish deals ~600 damage with CA,~400 without

CC st.hk ->f+hk->cr.mp xx V-Trigger cancel -> st.hp xx HK Drill-> HK DP might be the best punish for a blocked DP.

You have sometimes to switch st.hp for cr.mk depending on the spacing, nothing that is realy hard to learn.

You can actually cancel from chains now. Just do crlp crlp arrow if you want.

Part of me is thinking this build of the beta might not have updated every character. Ryu has his walkspeed and low forward changes, but Laura is the exact same and it seems like Cammy might be too.

I know you guys are grieving over nerfs, but this is my first time playing Cammy in these betas and she’s so good, I feel like she’s the best character available right now.
