Cammy General Discussion: To Bee or not to Bee

Did she have this before:

Ch 2mp, 5mp, 5hp xx hp dp for 274/470
Works on every crouching character.

For standing:

Ch 2mp, 5mp, 2mk xx hp dp for 250/430
Could not get the 5hp to hit, even when i walk forward slightly

13 Throws for full super, up from 9 if i recall.
Vskill builds the same amount from s1.

CC 5hk, tc xx lksa, excs is excellent damage for 1 meter - 371.

FYI this works now. It no longer whiffs on crouching or standing regardless of counter hit so they did fix some things.

HK DP still beats neutral jump and LK DP still auto corrects and beats deep jump ins. We good.

TC xx LK SA xx EX DP seems to have some weird hit box properties on certain characters. I’m finding hitting Chun very easy, but hitting Ryu requires a slightly longer delay before you input the EX DP if you aren’t in the corner. Anyone else?

Same. It works on chun just fine but I couldn’t get it 2 hit on Ryu

It works on ryu just delay it until ryu seems like he about to land. I’ve been able to hit everyone I’ve tried so far but the timing seems super strict. I feel like we’ll be able to get it eventually but the man dropping that is going to suck. Lose the meter, the damage, and get CC’d after.

I noticed dash meaty st/cr mp is significantly easier to do now after mk/hk SA with the +1 recovery adjustment.

dash stMP/crMP is just as easy, if not 1f harder.

The good news about this +1f of recovery is that stLK hits completely meaty being +3/+2 and our crLP becomes +6/+4 lul.

Love the hit confirm time we get after b+mp . St lk to b+mp is legit. If you see the b+mp hit you have a lot of time to confirm into st lp or st hp(if CH) xx SA. They definitely made this move super usable in strings now vs only in combos before.

Why not use st.hp instead of st.mp if b.mp is ch?

If you hit ex divekick in the right spot on block - jab to anything consistently works. Before you had some leeway where things like TC could whiff. It’s definitely hard to hit that spot but honestly I don’t see anyone getting a punish on you unless you really are just throwing it out there so this isn’t as unsafe as earlier videos made me believe (non Cammy players). I still think we will be able to catch some counter hits on people that get used to us being negative block and not being able to recognize when we do hit the spot.

75% away ex hooligan instant dive kick seems to still allow good follow up pressure fairly easy (doesn’t need to be placed as well). Can still be anti aired by those that know how but definitely try it out to see if you can abuse it.

I’m a new player to Street Fighter and Fighting games in general. But I’m having a lot of fun and still hanging in there. I actually asked Ono-san twice in person for Cammy’s air throw. When I heard it was coming back I was really excited. So, pretty dissapointed about that not making it in.

So what’s the deal with cammy’s dive kicks now after the patch
I was playing earlier and threw a cammy after literally every blocked dive kick
Is it that negative or was she just being bad

Depends on the height in my experience if it hits anywhere below the knee is u r plus

Just being bad, even if it was badly spaced you shouldn’t be able to punish it with a throw. Cammy can still make regular divekicks +2 at most.

What moves. I haven’t had it whiff yet. It used to whiff all the time.

Lock you are forgetting if they hit cr jab after and are -2 the throw will win. The preferred mk version has one less frame of block stun so its much easier to end up at -2 with regular and EX now. Most people learned to tech after a divekick, but if Cammy hit a spot with mk cannon spike you could use cr lp to beat the tech. That same spot now loses to grab with that reduced block stun. I believe this is why he is grabbing them out more often. Everyone’s going to have to relearn the timing and spacing for their divekicks as well as follow ups on both sides. It favors us now though as everyone is so conditioned to tend to tech or not hit a button.

You’re right, it catches lights if you fucked up your divekick.
