You know what the funny thing is. And let me seperate myself from director and player for this post.
Most of the people that are asking to play for spots, aren’t even going to play for the spot or don’t even play 3rd Strike. I find it really funny that these are the guys busting my balls for designating spots. I think the whole problem is, I’m the director and I’m one of the spots, so now it’s so easy for everyone to point the finger at me that I’m picking my friends.
But anywho, as a player, I give up my spot too and will play in the tourney. I’m going to fucking own you sorry ass fucking scrubs. And JR lets MM outside of the tourney, just b/c I want to take your money. Juan is the best Akuma.

After talking with Yi about this, I have a slightly different view of how the 3s 5v5 should go down. I understand the importance of having a solid team of 5, and how that idea becomes jeopardized with random tournament seeding. So, if everyone is willing to compromise a little, I think this type of tournament will work out best for everyone:
I think there should be a set group of players for the round robin, and available round robin seats that are earned via the tournament. As such, the round robin seats that are predesignated should be:
- Yi
- Vic
- Ken I
- Gootecks
And there should be an additional 4 seats available to the top 4 players of a tournament open to everyone, aptly named “Round Robin Qualifiers”.

Yeah that may be best if we can fit it in the schedule. At least that way we know who will actually be at the event instead of fools qualifying and then some last minute shit come up and not be able to show.
