here’s a proposed solution:
There will be a max total of 6 or 8 people to try out for the 5th spot. If we have 6, we can do a round robin. If we have 8 we can do a single elimination best of 3. People who post on this thread to tryout gets a spot for the tryout. What are everyone’s thoughts?

Ness: It’s not that anyone is afraid to play for spots. It’s going to be far too difficult, and too little time. just plain and simple. are we going to hog the machines at denjin just to do that while other people are wanting to play? of course not, plus, i’ve placed 2nd/1st at SJSU tourneys with Long, and so did Andry. We’re the only people who’ve placed high and played since SFVI came out. I’m willing to play for my spot, don’t get me wrong, I’m not scared for shit, so before you say anything, reconsider the cirumstances.

Sorry, I’m just frustrated cause before I found out I wasn’t going I wanted to be on the team as well and people were already claiming spots. At ks2 friday I called out anyone on the team that I’d play them for a spot. I mean, seriously the game has barely been out. Time is a constraint, I don’t see why we can’t do a single elim round robin?
everyone that plays SFIV deserves a chance regardless. But fuck it, I’m not going anymore anyways, but give Haunts a shot on that team!!

lol, yeahhhhh. well, i’m okay with playing for my spot, but i really feel that for norcal, at the least… Andry/Long should keep their spots, because they’ve already proven themselves. Seriously, for this tourney, i want the best of us to play against socal, even though we’re not going to be as sharp as we’d like. So i don’t want to jeopardize established players such as those two.

can’t believe valle and combofiend aren’t on that team. hope i get to play them this weekend (for casual, don’t want to see them in tournament lol).

Just to inform you, we all played roughly the same number of hours give or take granted that SFSU and SJSU are the only two locations that have SF4. So we, as in both sides, know who the regulars are.
You’re right, once it comes to consoles, then it’s a whole new ball game, but we’ll have to settle with this team for now =]

i think gootecks has been playing rog as main for a while. word on the street(forum) that his rog is serious. it’ll be interesting to see him mirror match against anthony. can’t wait!!!
