someone tell me what is actually good with laura and what isn’t
what are her best pokes, after a blocked LP shoulder you really do have to give up pressure to a jab masher right?, how do you try and fight the neutral against characters with good pokes (poke xx backdash v-skill? randomly go in?), what are her good anti-airs, what’s one really good go-to mixup you use off fireball and how do you set it up

The more I play her the more I think that she sucks. There’s not a single matchup that I can think “Oh this will be easy” but to answer your questions
-Best pokes are s.mk, c.mp & c.mk imo
-Yes, you frametrap yourself off a blocked elbow
-Force our way in when in neutral (still figuring this out)
-Anti air s.mp is fairly reliable
-That’s my secret for awhile
i predict:
- changes to the local VS interface (and local VS pause menu) to let both P1 and P2 interact
- more unkept promises about server stability
- NO change to unlocking colors despite being the most insane thing in the history of the medium
- NO reward for early adopters who have put up with broken beta tests and a broken launch with a smile and their pants around their ankles
- NO alex (that is next patch but before end of march)

the couple setups i’ve been using with her are:
- off a back throw, dash up lk or command throw on quick rise. They have 3 frames to avoid the command throw or very quickly mash a 3frame jab, if they wake up jab you can just frame trap them with lk or maybe mp? i usually just command grab them immediately after the dash on quick rise though since most people can’t avoid it.
- st.fp xx ex thunder clap (fireball) immediately st.mk xx v skill forward will cross them under
- st.fp xx ex thunder clap (fireball) immediately cr.fp xx v skill forward will fake a cross under
- on hitting a lp bolt, st.mp will frame trap anything except blocking as it’s +2 on hit, then you can link into cr.mp xx special/CA
- counterhit LP Bolt can combo into st.lk xx LP/EX Bolt follow up as well if you throw it out there randomly
- light command throw is still in range off a tick st.lk
- her v-trigger is actually really good, it buffs all her damage, makes everything do at least +50 stun but more importantly it increases the range on her command grabs by quite a lot… you can start tick throwing off of her medium kick which is pretty nuts.
- her anti airs suck, best is either st.mp or get a read and do QCF+HP. She can jump back jab pretty reliantly too i guess
but as adam said i think she’s pretty bad in a lot of matchups, rashid vs laura seems horrible for her if she has no v reversal. However she’s still really fun if you can get momentum, she builds stun up sooo quickly and gets monsterous follow up damage off a stun.

R. Mika is real fun. So scary to jump at, my goodness. But I played vega and holy shit does he ever feel up there in the ranks. Changing his move set to non-charged was a brilliantly deadly plan.
