After watching champ play Dhalsim I am slowly trying to learn him.
He is god damn hard. I really am feeling the execution barrier with him. In training mode I can get my instant-air flames every time but then I go to play someone online and 6/10 of my attempts come out as jump jab. Same thing with instant-air teleport. I get antsy and end up throwing out jump back fierce out of nowhere. However, there have been a few times where I’ve been playing where his pressure feels crazy good. Usually it only lasts a little while and then I fuck up my execution, but the air flame/stand jab/drill/throw pressure seems pretty damn good.
It might take more work than I’m willing to put in to get really good with him, but so far I’ve been having fun. Landing instant overhead jump fierce for stun is probably the most satisfying thing in the game at the moment.

oh also today i learned and also experienced the joy that SF5’s button config de-selects the button if you press it on an option where it was already selected
so if your button config is already correct and you try to tap all the buttons, you deselect them all

still takes too long finding a match. hardcore players will wait around but new and casual players are just gonna get impatient and move onto the next game. they need to speed up the matchmaking
i find the quality of matches i get is just terrible. 5 bars ask to confirm quality, everything is still garbage. I find the twitchiness so very distracting. had a huge string of rage quitters last night too

I’ve been getting matches like every minute. I’ll sit at the menu screen and just get matches constantly. Also 90% of my matches have been really good connection wise. I only get the occasional stuttery match but it’s actually still playable. I think the entire time I’ve been playing i only recall like 2 or 3 matches that were so bad it was unplayable.
I concur with doug I have had near perfect online and I live in an apartment with like a thousand devices filling the channels. Just not enough free time to grind.
Most of my matches are decent with 4-5 + ask settings.
I just got my PS4 stick… man every stick i try feels like a piece of shit compared to my 360 one

Are you guys with good matches on PS4? Both GG and Rising Thunder were good on my comp I dunno what SFs problem is
Ken is really really different. I’m finding him really hard to play. Have to be really fast w hit confirms
both seem to be okay, i only played 3 matches on PS4 since i just got the stick but 2 of 3 were good… one was some brazilian dude but even then i’ve seen a lot worse
My connection is good with both ps4 and PC and I’m only on Shaw cable with 25download speed. I’m on PC with wired connection of course
I get about a match per minute sitting at the home screen on PS4. Usually good connections. Not as God-like as MKX beta or KI but it’s leagues past SF4.
Visible roll-backs are pretty rare (1/5 games maybe?)

I’ve had lag free matches with Adam, Dug, Phil and Lapchi. Playing on PS4, wired, telus internet.
don’t have enough data to add to the discussion… only played one (very laggy) ranked match and in a lobby with marklarr which was just “OK”.
looking forward to being at home with real internet and trying online!
I’ve only played one match that was dbz style teleporting, but other than that it’s been ok. I do notice it takes a bit to find matches though, but I’ve started reading between matches so I dont mind.
