also, what resolution are you running it at? does it match your desktop?
It’s not consistent but it happens to some people, i don’t have the issue myself but it’s definitely there
not having full screen windowed in this age is beyond retarded though, like even going into windowed mode with a resolution smaller than my screen makes the game insanely laggy for no reason.

Wow, holy shit. Paladin finally got some insane buffs in FFXIV. Some were more than I would have even hoped for;

Fast Blade TP cost has been reduced from 70 to 60.
That Divine Veil / Clemency fix is awesome. Some more dps; nice.
But holy shit, only 60 TP on Fast Blade? That makes so much sense. When I got really good at paladin tanking I was stunning every AoE my enemies started performing, even if I was tanking multiple mobs. But if you do shield bash it costs a ton of TP. Now basically the only way I will run out of TP is by using that because the Paladin combo now doesn’t cost as much TP… IIRC you generate 60 every GCD
Savage Blade buff is nice too. It can be a bit harrowing waiting for the 6 sec it takes to get to Halone for the enmity
And holy shit Oath changing no longer interrupting weaponskill combos? Whoaaaaaa
I would drop out of Shield Oath a lot during my combos for extra DPS since dropping oath doesn’t break your chain, but that’s crazy, now you can just stance switch for your finisher and move back.
although if you do it too often your dps will be lower. there’s probably a good rotation for switching oaths that with the new buffs does a ton more damage than pallys used to
Also cool that, switching stances, and using Clemency with only 2 sec cast, actually gives Paladins a use for all of the MP they get.

The damage is so skewed in gief’s favor too.

Uhh…Good fucking luck. Going to search the backpacks of every person near by? Going to make pool judged responsible for monitoring and sniffing out people? Are you really going to ban them from the entire event? This is a bad idea.
I would just buy two PS3->PS4 brookes converters for every station and fucking be done with it. Hand them over to the pool judge and if they don’t make it back to inventory , oh well , they were $25 each. Wireless stays banned, people can use ps3 sticks (and not the shitty SFV implementation of it) and everyone is happy. I guess you might be taking a bit of a gamble that Sony doesn’t update firmware right before the event but from what I’m hearing, the brookes guys are kind of fast on that? I also haven’t seen an input lag test from Teyah but people are saying its good. I will need to test for myself.

So during the maintenance I figured it would be a good time to go do some easy survival and story mode. Then, then game tells me that because I’m not logged in I won’t get rewards such as fight money.

They said that by playing the game you’d be able to unlock all the dlc. I guess you have to play the game a certain way. All my time in the lab won’t get me anything. I know there’s some people who only like to play the lab and not online, however, they won’t get to unlock anything. I could play for 10 hours, 7 of that in the lab, suck balls on ranked and win 4 online matches and get 200 fight money. So much for playing in a dedicated manner and being able to get all the “free” stuff.
Maybe that’s petty, or maybe I’m just bitter about the survival and story mode online thing and had to find something to bitch about.
I think they will be worth it as a capital investment if they behave like I expect them to - piece of mind and a tournament running on schedule / not being interrupted is far more important than saving $50/station/number of years ps4s are used.
Putting more pressure on a pool judge when it’s already a shitty, stressful, and mostly thankless task is never a good idea. Threatening players with DQ is one thing but ultimately it will fall to the judge to stop what he’s doing and deal with a ruined match and harass all the players. If players are OK with being DQ’d for forgetting to delete their device, that’s good for them but it also presumes that other players are fine with the chance of having their match interrupted.
There are multiple instances of people just fucking off with brackets when nothing went wrong - imagine having to deal with this shit?
You’re trying to yell and scream to find your next pair of players (you have no idea what they look like or even exactly how to pronounce their stupid handle), you yell “420xBlazeItxLickmyBalls versus Xstniaqqqoifns_501, report to station 2!”, you are hungry and need to pee very badly. The bracket is running behind because several people had to fuck with passthrough, which means going back to the main menu of SFV to try and activate their PS3 stick. One player seems to be having trouble - everyone surrounding the players offers advice and wastes more time: They try creating new profiles to sign in to, sign back out, sign back in and the person trying to use the PS3 stick has no idea whats happening or why it’s not working. You realize you still have 11 more matches in this bracket and only 45 minutes to finish. Finally they get it to activate and then proceed to check buttons for another 2 minutes. So far it has taken roughly 7 minutes to get these two to play a match. After 5 minutes of actual gameplay, it’s down to the last round - someone hits a combo and suddenly a prompt shows up on the screen asking them what profile they’d like to log in to. Both players move their joysticks and nothing happens. You scan the crowd and everyone is sitting there looking annoyed, the players are looking at you like you have some kind of idea what the fuck just happened and can force the guilty party to step forward. Some jerk in the crowd scream “Take the win!” . You still cannot find ‘420xBlazeItxLickmyballs’ and will probably have to DQ him but that would involve shouting his name out again. You’re still hungry and still need to pee.
You would just turn to the TO, say “I’m not making a fucking dime from this - here is the bracket, I’m going to go smoke weed in the parking lot with my friends and try to enjoy the rest of the tournament.” None of us could really begrudge someone for doing that either.
