It appears all the characters are coming out at the same time for Kombat Pack 2. Two weeks between SF5 and Leatherface isn’t much time. So much awesomeness!!!
Gief feels really weak to me, but I am also scrubby and am playing online. I am looking forward to playing him with no lag.

Cammy is a scrub killer in this game but is very weak against good players.
Hooligan is useless because all you need to do is press st.lp (or just use your anti-air of choice) and it beats hooligan clean
her V-skill is very slow and gets stuffed by everything.
there are no ambiguous dive kicks (they ALL hit in the front) so she is only a shell of her sf4 self.
but i just cannot stop using her, she’s fun.

Hmm…a lot of the placement I don’t agree with. My personal opinion on the beta 4 tier list is around this.
S - Nash, Chun-Li, Bison
A+ - Laura, Birdie, Vega
A - Ryu, Gief, Karin
B+ - R.Mika, Necalli, Sim (?), Rashid (?)
B - Ken, Cammy
I think Sim and Rashid have potential to move up in the tier list but require more exploration. Ryu got a couple of buffs and some minor nerfs but still well rounded. Ken got buffs from phase 3 but still feels weakened from his phase 2 incarnation. Chun-Li’s v-trigger potential is getting explored more and players like Crackfiend have found some really good pressure and resets from it. Laura’s gotten more explored in phase 3+4 and the stuff people are creating is getting strong within the context of SFV. Her tool set is pretty strong in general and her up close game is pretty ridiculous with her +3 normals. I think Cammy is a solid character overall with good normals for poking and frame traps. She doesn’t really have good tools to open people up in comparison to characters who have a similar game play design. The v-trigger nerf from phase 2 was necessary but she loses comeback potential as a result.
Speaking of throws, in the MKXL beta the throw tech window is much bigger (instead of non-existent). I am pleased.
You still have to let go of block and then guess which direction they’re throwing you.
sorry troy, option selects still work against teleports. they still have whiff attack>OS in this game. its not as usefull in this game since backdashes arent invincible anymore but the sf4 Oses still work against teleporters.
well, when your only option is teleporting you’re probably fucked anyways lol.

I miss King’s giant swing in SFxT… It was pretty nice using that option select with it and grabbing back dashes with a half screen command grab. I wish Mika’s worked that way…
