i thought i was going to have to throw a new PCB in my old TE after it got epically slammed onto a concrete floor, just to get it working again
but even though the sides have popped off and won’t re-attach, wire looms are hanging out the gaping side holes, two corners are no longer even fully attached to the main body of the stick and some of the plastic posts that hold the thing together have cracked, the stick and buttons all work 100% flawlessly
dug stick mods S tier
still might have to put a Brooks PCB in it if I ever plan on playing GG outside my house tho cuz iirc PS4 GG doesn’t support PS3?
Yeah i was looking at that board earlier today. I actually just ordered one of those Hori arcade stick mini’s so i could rip it apart and throw inside my stick for ps4 compatibility. The Brook board looks pretty great though. It has a screw terminal and a USB port so you don’t even have to solder anything.
imagine if this brook PCB was available at the start of this gen, lol. i wouldn’t have had to buy those dumb cronuses
better late than never though i guess
if KI gets some traction on PC, it will help it stick around as a tournament game as well, since this seems relatively cheap and easy as an all-purpose solution for any game you’d want to play
sucks the canadian dollar is so low right now, i imagine the conversion + shipping for this kinda stinks
I’m concerned because Brooks converters no longer work as of latest ps4 patch plus $80 is pretty steep (it’s not like I need xbone support) .I’ll wait until Teyah does an input lag test on the thing and if they sort out the ps4 stuff then I’ll give it a go.
apparently brook converters broke with a recent ps4 patch but brook applied a downloadable hotfix within 24 hours, so they have a pretty good track record of fixing stuff like that
others have tested the lag and say it’s pretty flawless, but certainly i would like to see as many tests on it as possible
kinda sad we have to resort to this sort of stuff just to play games
i’m going to change the name of my ki guide away from “for SF4 players” (since sf5 is coming out and the guide has grown to be a lot more than just that anyway, trying not to scare people away)
but i’m kind of stuck on a name. does anyone have (serious) suggestions?
the best i have right now is “the complete killer instinct guide”, which isn’t that bad but i’m sure there are better ideas
