took us all day saturday to do the mod! now I have ps2 sticks

they work perfectly - but for some weeeeeird ass reason, in the anniversary collection edition of 3rd strike, the buttons act as directions and inputs in menu screens.
as soon as you are playing the game it’s fine. i think the american version is buggy, makes me want to pick up the japanese release.
yeah i’ve had several personal run-ins with sirlin, he is not exactly a kind-hearted individual, especially if you want to challenge any of his design ideas
he has also burned a lot of bridges in the FGC over HDRemix, so i’m not really thinking the community will be willing to give his game a ton of screen time
very curious to see how broken his game will be whenever the first beta is released

If this is the future of fighting games I say we all go back to playing Tekken 3
hard execution is not the main reason people don’t play fighting games (i mean, high-execution games are super daunting and scary, but people still don’t play easy fighting games with low execution requirements)
they don’t play them because they don’t understand them, and there are no fun or good in-game tutorials out there that actually explain how to get started
so while games like this and rising thunder are trying to broaden the appeal of the genre i’m not convinced they’re going about it the right way
