that was some of the best SFV i’ve seen to date. the grand finals and some of the pool matches were actually exciting to watch. kind of glad the game is evolving into something better than i assumed it was.
based John T is the new doggo - that kid is insanely good. wait until he gets his tournament jitters dealt with, he will be a killer of sakonoko quality.
Super Turbo was lackluster - the commentating wasn’t all that great which kind of threw it off for me. didn’t catch top 8 but i’ll definitely check out a recording of it later.
Tekken 7 looks amazing, that was a dope top 8.
and smash… fuck smash, seriously. why. haha.
Fuck Smash is my biggest take away from CC as well.

I think they’re just complaining that Smash takes too long, isn’t a real fighting game, etc.

their grand finals ran almost 3 hours later than it should have, meaning SF top 8 was suuuuper delayed.
it caused a huge ruckus in the chat etc.
I don’t think anyone here would argue it’s not a fighting game. It’s just crazy slow and boring and goes waaaaaaaaaay too long. And every single smash 4 top 8 goes to game 5, grand finals is always a reset… it’s horrible. And it’s compacted by the fact there’s always two Smash games (melee is also boring in different ways and also takes centuries)
I like how the crowd bood when it reset ;).
Smash brings dem dollars tho so no point complaining. But it feels good.
Hopefully if/when they port Smash 4 to the NX they’ll update it so that it’s faster
And hopefully they’ll add more characters too. Wouldn’t mind seeing Splatoon reps
