you can definitely build a pretty solid pc for nerd games for about 1k. probably less if you’re willing to dig on kijiji for parts.
monitor extra. everyone has different needs, but they are so cheap these days compared to even like 5 years ago.
I’d only recommend Kijiji for things in the “etc.” category like monitors, keyboards, speakers, and mice. I wouldn’t recommend it for internal parts.
i would never buy a second hand keyboard or mouse unless i had a week to take it apart and scrub it clean. people can be pretty gross.
Brand new keyboards and mice are so cheap as to be negligible anyways. You can buy them new for like ten bucks each and even the low-end brands are usually good. There is no point to paying more for a mouse, unless you think you’ll get use out of one of those $120 Razer mice.
