Reptile’s skin looks amazing… I might have to main him if Baraka or the robots don’t show up.
Kitana and Reptile’s variations look really fun. Reptile can throw projectiles but then decide to stop them and the ball will just stay where you stopped it…and then he can launch another. And he has a flame carpet. One variant is based off invisibility, the other has a permanent stank cloud where you get damaged just from being near him, and another has him slow time using his enhanced senses.
Kitana has a variant where she can use EX moves without meter by sharpening her fans, another has Jade’s old moves, and the most interesting one has crazy zoning and air control, a sorta double jump and an OP projectile reflect (reflects infinite projectiles). I need this gaaame. Characters also talk a lot while fighting now. Like Blazblue or Soul Calibur characters.
Plus Chris G plays Reptile so I can steal from him…
i think the only real games that would see tournament presence are SF4, Xrd, and the smash games (dunno how popular smash 4 is among the calgary smash community)
there are people who would play the other games in casuals but wouldn’t enter a tournament (marvel, KI, etc) so i don’t think it’s worth the effort to arrange tournaments for those
Kano has the best looking model NRS has ever done IMO. And the female faces finally look like female faces which is a plus. All the unique character interactions with all the story stuffs are something I only dreamed of as a child…
its popular but nowhere near melee. brawl pm players etc are playing it but like literally 0 melee players have even touched it.
btw the weekly meetups for smash are HUUUUGGGE. seems like 50+ and rising each week… i went last week and there was a 37-man bracket for melee, which doesnt include people who showed up late or were playing other games such as pm and multiple 8-player smash setups.
I was going to say… why would they just plea that when they can do the logical thing of tell the little shitheads to stop queueing 45 minutes before bed time. But they also said that too
On playing some more, I don’t know if malfurion is that good. Heal over time is pretty bad in hots after the early game because of the burst potential. Roots/moon fire spec is lol. His shield kind of sucks.
