When new fighting games have all these super interesting character designs, how can people be happy with vanilla type designs from older series? I was listening to a MOBA podcast the other day where a lot of people hate older character designs in LoL because they’re so “boring” compared to new ones. Feels like that’s happening with FGs. It’s like playing modern day good board games, and then having to go back and play Monopoly or Risk (which is painful).

Excuse me? This is EXACTLY the narrative she and several other sites have been trying to push for months now. Not to inform or educate, but just to vilify gamers, saying it’s a white supremacist hate mob of rapists. And NOW she realizes that it’s crazy.
I don’t know or care if she was actually was a script consultant, Anita is a gigantic fucking idiot, and this episode is a DIRECT result of her special brand of misinformation.
Aganos looks fucking terrible. I appreciate the creativity with the character but from a competitive aspect he looks pretty weak. Maybe someone will crack the code with him eventually but the initial tool set looks fairly underwhelming.
I have watched all her videos, and I probably play more games than anyone on this thread. And I’ve never felt villified.

I’m not championing her but people definitely like to blow up shit she says way out of proportion. She did not have input in the script. That is lying. Which you should be against. If your cause is real you shouldn’t need a “face of the enemy” to try and rally and rile people.

I think he looks incredibly hard to use (which I like, KI has a few masher-friendly characters already), and he has bad wakeup, but I definitely don’t think he looks “terrible”. With a small bit of setup and a reaction, he can take 50% life off with a fully invincible full screen move, which is pretty crazy, lol.
But yeah I think he’ll be low tier at first, then rise to mid tier after a few months. Someone with good reactions will do well with him.
You’re missing the entire fucking point. It’s exactly the same narrative she and her stupid friends have been pushing for the past six months. Do even a bit of research and you will notice how every single thing that occurred in the episode is tied to something actually said by people on the anti-GamerGate side. “Gaming is a caucasian boy’s club” (all the gamers in the episode are strictly young white men, explicitly stated by Ice T’s character). “Gamers are worse than ISIS” (the kidnapping/torture videos are meant to mimic ISIS exactly). “Condoning gamers is condoning harassment of women” (at the beginning of the episode, it cut rapidly between two men assaulting a female game dev in the bathroom and a crowd of gamers cheering, the obvious implication being that gamers condone these actions). Each of these things were said at some point either by Anita or by some anti-GG ignoramus who is on her side. The SVU writers merely took their complaints to heart and ended up with that abortion of an episode precisely because of what the media were saying about GamerGate. All of Anita’s efforts, as well as the efforts of her supporters, have gone directly towards demonizing gaming and its entire consumer base. Just because her vilification of gamers goes willfully ignored by you doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
How about some unbiased links then? Because I’ve done plenty of research, even watched a ton of Thunderf00ts videos, which believe me, caused my soul real physical pain.
All I can find is people who willfully forge their own realities and propaganda, as evidenced by that picture you posted. My assumption is because it’s a group of over-parented wiener kids who never learned how to handle criticism, or avoid mob-mentality.
I’m happy to learn if you share. I’m a huge proponent of knowing all sides of an issue.
edit: I’m frustrated because it seems like that group of people is a reflection of everything they think they hate about feminism (ie making shit up and manipulating the truth to get whatever it is they think they want)
