I assume DOTA and League are as frustrating as Heroes when you decide to solo queue and get a team full of bads, or a team of full tanks/assassins and no supports? lol

i played real games of dota 2 today w/o zak telling me what to do and i did pretty well as techies, not that anyone in my games knew anything but i was getting 1-2nd best k/d out of both teams just luring people into mines over and over. my games went over 70 minutes a piece and everyone yelled at me so i know i’m doing it right. on the defense if you’re dumping mines on the high ground it seems basically impossible to break without just tanking them all and pushing through?

MKX factions thing is kind of neat (you choose a faction, play single or multiplayer, earn points for your faction, at the end of a week or something, the winning faction gets rewarded with stuff). dunno if you can change factions, or if you have reason to choose one over the other besides liking the name, but it’s a fairly low-cost attempt at convincing people to play the game longer than they otherwise might have

SFV will launch with arcade mode, training mode, scrolling rather than tap-to-set button config, and frame delay online netcode that was tested in the heart of downtown tokyo so it’s probably okay for everyone else
You can choose your faction each week apparently. MK fans will be picking factions based on their lore, and not just how cool names sound but yeah… Most people will haha.

well I dunno what rewards they’re giving you for winning, but i mean, maybe you want scorpion’s last color so you join a specific faction that gives that reward for winning that week
or if it’s just “everyone in the winning faction gets 10,000 XP”, which means the only reason you’d choose a faction is because you like the name/lore
it’s not a gameplay trapping or anything but it’s a neat idea to “trick” people into playing, as long as you don’t need to constantly win these 1 in 5 shots to unlock content you want
