Dead Space 2 is a really good game, but definitely nothing like your first time playing the original. Dead Space 3 is absolutely atrocious. My bro and I would play co-op, 2 screens next to each other, and it still took us a year to beat. It’s just so boring and generic. We’ve beaten RE5 literally like 10 times together (so those kinds of games can be a ton of fun), but getting through Dead Space 3 was chore.
Lots of people listing MGS3 instead of the original. It’s probably tied for me? The first one slightly edges it out just because it’s the first game that showed me video games can be a really special thing, I guess - more than just games to be beaten.

blech, wish Sakurai would understand that HIS team is the one at fault for why Brawl is such a defensive game
they also keep talking about these “pros” that take the fun out of the game for everyone, as if it’s these pro players’ fault for the game being the way it is, and not the designer for making a game conducive to bad strategies. The pros just want to win, so they’ll play the game in the way that makes it easiest to win. Nintendo/Sakurai really just want players to have fun without any thought of winning, I guess… well, make a better game and we’ll be able to do both, don’t keep blaming the players.

after playing windwaker hd I’m sure that’s probably my favorite of the series from basically every standpoint except nostalgia, which is too stronk 
dota has a real special place in my heart because its synonymous with the time I played vanilla wow
id take mgs3 over one because the gameplay is just so much more refined. twin snakes would edge it out had it not been for the insane over the top anime-ness about it(snake and ninja parkouring on falling slabs of concrete and missiles like its dmc)
