It will be interesting to see how low - tier vanilla Fei Long really is though…
You crazy bro. If anything, he would have gotten more broken as the game progressed.
150 damage ex fireball that combos into regular fb if it beats a non EX from full screen, yes please.
Trade dp into 600+ damage for no meter, yes please.
So… anybody know where i can find a damn tuxedo t-shirt?
I’m pretty sure vanilla sagat would stay at gatekeeper tier just below SS which would probably be what, like Super cammy, AE Yun Yang, V akuma? Can’t think of too many others that would really be obscene. Hell I can’t even remember which Cammy was the most broke, it was super right?
what changes did they make to Seth? in vanilla he still had fast jump stretchy arms, traps if you jumped over fireballs, dive kick, SPD, DP and I think his teleport was better back then too
oh boy that fireball trap
anyone remember that 7 hour grand final between jinrai and tmj in edmonton
ugh
The only characters I think you could argue might be better than him would be Vanilla Seth and Akuma.
I’m pretty sure AE Yun and Yang would blow up 90% of the returning and current cast, they would lose to Sagat and Gief but likely not much else. The king is obviously V Akuma. Considering all the great things V Seth had going for him he still lost to the same thing he loses to now, big damage. The fact that his neutral was straight up retarded kind of helps him though. I’d probably rank him at or near V sagat if anything. Really just splitting hairs at that point though. I’m having a hard time actually thinking of newer characters that would even rank against the V characters. Even V Ryu would probably decimate a significant chunk of the cast with little effort. It isn’t until I think of the strongest characters in each iteration that there’s even a comparison point.
Also what the fuck, I’m getting guru meditation on here now? Is it growing?
Ukraine has been given an ultimatum to stop by tomorrow (according to Ukraine)… honestly I just think it’ll eventually be a stalemate, or a Russia approved figure head gets put in charge of Ukraine. Russia is like the US; they like to throw their weight around, but they’re not stupid.
Also, I don’t want to wait for Hugo any longer :(.
I played Hugo… He seems kinda garbage. I don’t think he can combo into any of his specials? Everything is laggy. Anti-air ultra doesnt grab people above him. Meh, Who knows. I probably just have no idea how to use him.
His s.HP overhead can absorb attacks though… pretty cool
this seems to defeat the entire purpose of the mode
It would majorly help out characters like Sim, Honda and Chun while stopping the game from devolving into 2011 Yun vs. 2009 Sagat or something similarly stupid.
if you’re going to make tweaks to the characters just do it in ultra
otherwise the ‘dream matchup’ concept goes out the window
vanilla characters vs. those characters that did not have a vanilla build is going to be interesting to see.
it’s going to make the game alot more interesting in my opinion, offering a wide array of possibilities in matchups / tier lists.
i’m back in town tonight for a week, if anyone wants to get together for games / beers / hang out lemme know

I heard that China is backing up Russia in the matter as well. So you have 2 super powers allied together with the ability to veto in the UN…
Well, I’m back from SCR (I came back yesterday actually). I had nearly no SF4 practice before SCR (except at Peter’s and a bit in Dickens) so I didn’t expect myself to get out of pools. Personal thanks to Frank for showing me Adon, because LPN immediately went to pick Adon after losing the first match with Cammy.
I didn’t get to fight against Marq Teddy because he lost at his first match.
I should’ve done better against Wao, but I lost my patience and he just outplayed me the whole time.
I did better in Guilty Gear than I thought I would; lost to a top player twice. KOF was just Mexican fest, and I did bad (I suck at fighting against Kula and I don’t know what Maxima is), though I beat some of them in casuals and one in losers. They’re quite chill personally.
daniel you the best
shut the fuck up about ukraine
if shit gets outta hand i’ll take care of it
