Speaking of PM, here’s the video du jour; grand finals between Armada (Swedish player who didn’t lose a single Melee tournament for two years until Evo 2013, hasn’t lost a PM tournament yet) vs Professor Pro (UK player who is largely credited for developing most of Snake’s tricks) at a Swedish tournament last weekend… really awesome set.
I think that was the best fight pub so far.
I’m glad the teams worked out although it was a logistical landmine to get started. We’ll smooth that out if we ever run it again. Seems like it got everyone talkative and involved. The turnout was great.
I agree it was sad that Greg was sick. It was even sadder he could not defend his CHAMPION status. I guess he will continue to be the best in Calgary until May long weekend.

FGCC guys - Fuck you. You deserve a call out. We tried to support you as best we could, talked with you about the logistics of everything overlapping, we showed up to your tournament and I asked you ONE thing in return. Show up to Dickens on Sunday night. Both Farhan and the Smashlogic guy shook my hand and said “Yeah, I’ll be there.” I wouldn’t give a fuck if you ended up being there at 1 am and you couldn’t convince a single person at your event to come with - You just had to put in the smallest of effort to keep your word and you didn’t. Get fucked.
Anyway, I’m glad Jamie came down from the mountain to put everyone in their place. It seems Daniel will be our last hope to dethrone the king and I’ll put up his $50 to face Jamie at the May long tournament.

First off, Thank you all who came for Salt Flats, even with all the shitty power issues, thank you guys for all your patience. You guys made us a big success.
Second, I agree, we do deserve the call out. The event ran super late on Saturday as well as Sunday, ending at around 2 am. We were all super tired by the end of it but even so, we should’ve at least came down to say hi even for a little bit.
I don’t have much else to say other than we made a mistake. We didn’t keep our word. We’re extremely sorry for stepping on your guy’s toes as well as not coming out for Fightpub, which I hope was a success and I hope I still see you guys in the future.

their game is good, no doubt about that. but how come they typically end up being such a bizarre group of people? i remember edmonton’s smash guys bein weirdos too
dickens Sunday was fun. except for getting tooled by doofus. too bad about character lock since I would just counterpick that matchup but overall I can’t really be upset about it since I don’t play SF
marvel on the other hand. the frank team was a decent idea but he is no fun to play. time to learn Doom so I don’t have to worry about losing to bad teams anymore
