I think most of the disappointment comes from the copy past thing. I think she looks interesting just really sad that it’s the same character with different specials.

- I think Evil Ryu is really different from Ryu and a good addition to the game, despite looking similar
- we had suspected she might be similar in appearance to Cammy for a while
- hopefully she will have some unique flavor to her normals and such in the final version

Evil ryu is diff from ryu but decapre has the exact same normals/ stance. It’s exact copy. I mean evil has his own flavor and set of normals butshe doesn’t

To be fair, her non-normals all look really rad. I’ll try her out after I master Hugo ;). I definitely got a Blazblue vibe from her moveset too.

What I don’t get is all the salt I read when it was revealed that Rolento’s theme is his boss song from Final Fight instead of his Alpha theme… that boss song was siiick.
that has probably destroyed the last bit of faith i had in capcom. the copy paste is too much. they could have easily done a new character model/animations for the amount of time theyve had.
i’m happy it’s a charge character (the first new charge character in the 15 years since third strike, actually).
it’s just a huge bummer than she’s literally the product of a marketing team’s checklist:
-sexy!
-no personality
-evil version of existing popular character
-angry!!! angry sexy!!!
-reuses existing animations
-model is literally a reskin of an existing character
-is another low health / high mobility girl character
on top of that there are like a thousand other amazing sf characters they could have used that would actually bring something new to the table but all of them would require a new model, new animations, a new rig, etc.
